This team is even more lifeless then it was with Torre at the helm. Until Girardi is fired we may as well get used to this kind of garbage baseball.

//Even though the records though 70 games is pretty much the same, the difference between this year and last is that there will be no Ponson, Rasner, Pavano, et al in the rotation in the second half.//

What's embarrassing about the remark up above is that this team's front office went out this past winter and spent $423.5 million to make this year's team better than last year's team.

I'd say it was a total failure by this year's record result at this point of the season.

5 games out today. The Madam says 10 out and fourth place by July 1st. It looks like it's going to get worse around here before it gets any better.

The Braves are mad and Nick Green and the Red Sox have made them that way. The Yankees will be their whipping post the rest of the week. Expect a Braves sweep of the Yanks!

Nick Green: How come we can't get players liek that?

Hideki can't run well, Damon can't throw well and Nady can't throw at all. That is three OF's that should or have to be a DH but only one DH spot. Essentially we have to hope Damon stays healthy enough to play the majority of LF and live with his baulky throwing shoulder. The only good thing about having the money to go get someone else may be to not go get someone at all but to eat some salary and call up Austin Jackson. He hits lefties as well as Nady does, has way more upside and is much better defensively. It may be time to cut some losses. Nady was mostly a lefty platoon guy anyway. Nick is the better 4th outfielder. Melky RF, Brett CF, Austin LF with Damon as a DH and Nick/Hideki as the 4th outfielder. I love me some Matsui but the time may have come to move him.

One other shallow excuse.... we can't move runners along to save our lives. Not just hit with RISP. We can't get a bunt down, slap it to the right side of the infield or just plain manufacture offense. We are doing none of the small things right. We are playing very bad baseball right now. Just like earlier when someone posted Swish going after the first pitch out of the zone, bad baseball. Guys a little wild, bases are loaded, advantage batter. You can't help the pitcher out. Jeter did the same thing twice. Bad baseball.

Pitch calling has been the killer for Jorge. Pitched McCann all low and away, finally he sat on it and almost launched it out. Next batter? You guessed it Garrett Anderson, low and away, two run double. Does it with Mo, CC, AJ etc... His personality has become too strong and demanding with his pitch selection. How many trips to the mound did he have to take with Andy? Andy? The guy he's caught the most over his career he can't get on the same page with? The teams ERA with him is almost a full run higher then with Cervelli or Molina. Strangely it is with Cash but I'll just call the small sample a fluke. But Cervelli is no fluke.

Your better than this Pete. So somehow the Yankees spent $423 mil so far this season and are not going to get anything out of them for the next 8 years?

Come on, you sound like you don't know baseball

It's a testament to the mediocrity around the league that the Yankees at 38-32, are tied for the Wild Card.

Nice work Bud.

and just in case you missed it, we are the laughing stalk of baseball. where a month ago people were making fun of us for our joke of a stadium, now they're making fun of our heartless lineup.

remember when swish was busting teammates in the face with shaving cream pies...... me neither.
