Do yourself a favor and read the nice feature Chad Jennings wrote on Austin Jackson.
There’s a Q&A with A-Jax as well.
I’ll say this again: Yankees fans are very fortunate to have good coverage of the minor league teams.
Also:
Mike Ashmore of Thunder Thoughts wrote to tell me that Christian Garcia is done for the season with elbow surgery. It seems like his career will be short-circuited by injuries. And Jason Johnson is with Trenton as he recovers from a torn labrum.
Also heard that J.B. Cox quit baseball after being demoted to Trenton.
UPDATE, 5:23 p.m.: Mike also reports that LHP Jeremy Bleich is on his way to Trenton.

Just read an interesting note on ESPN.com that said the Phillies have some interest in Chien Ming Wang.
I’m not saying I trade him, but I think this is something the Yankees should kick the tires on to see what they could get back for him.
OMG! but the BABIP and the KSS!!!!!!!114itgd
(first)
I would like me some Dominic Brown or Michael Taylor
Gonzalez in to try to close out the Red Sox…
that really was an indept article…i liked it
this is how bad things start
Wow they had Youkilis in a rundown and he gets out of it to keep the game alive…
why would the braves try to turn 2 like that…they had to have time the conventional way
Kelly Johnson’s IQ is horrible.
listen, wang is going to be fine. He is a perfect number three starter. No reason to trade him
Blowing a run down. Tough to do at the MLB level.
just flip the damn ball to 2nd it wasn’t like Jose Reyes was running down the line.
I hate the Braves. Seriously. Who blows a run down. Then allowing a basehit to Varitek. Just end the damn inning.
Braves trying their best to give the game away.
did they just tie it up?? i’m watching on gameday
The Red Sox are about to luck into one. Kelly Johnson with a horrible job botching that double play.
2-1 game
blow GOD away Gonza
thanks, CUYanks
Wow way to make the home pitcher wait. If that’s a braves fan on the field..
new post
YES !
Thank God.
Game over. Tommy hanson 4-0
Ellsbury strikes out. Thank you Braves, I no longer hate you.
thank you, Braves
Braves win.
I know wang will be a good 3 starter for the rest of the year, but the Phils farm is loaded with talent. We could get some high ceiling guys for the outfield which is a future position of need for us
I wouldn’t give up on Chris Garcia just yet.
I thing Chad Jennings may be ready for the bigs.
I’d trade wang to the phillies for a B+ position player prospect…..
Arodmvp. If your going to be THAT GUY and write first, at least make sure your going to be first.
Wow — JB Cox just quit?
Is it true JB Cox has quit baseball?
Would anybody trade Wang & Swisher to the Phillies for Lidge, Werth and Mayberry?
For everyone saying they would trade Wang for X, Y, Z on the Phillies…………it means you’re completely convinced he can no longer be what he was before the injury last June? Because, if he can come back and be the old Wang, I can’t think of anyone on the Phillies (that’s gettable of course) that I would trade him for. I still think it is too early to say Wanger is done, let’s ship him out. And remember, the guy isn’t even 30 yet. Pettitte isn’t pitching forever and there aren’t a lot of guys out there with the track record of Wang to go and choose from.
Living in Minnesota and being a Yankees fan is actually pretty easy because of the media coverage you all have out there. Thank God for the internet. For Twins fans…we have them here…we only have two papers and two beat reporters. That, and whenever SI has a Mauer story. I always get into it with friends about the 2006 MVP. First off, Jeter should have won it. Second off, Mauer is/was far more valuable to the Twins then Morneau was in 2006, or is now…Arguments anyone?
Peter, I went to a Saint Lucie Mets ( High A Ball)to view Jeremy Bleich pitch one night about three weeks ago He looks outstanding. He has great control/location, and adequate velocity on his pitches. If he maintains his performance, from what I viewed, he is not far away from knocking on the door in da Bronx.
