Joba to the pen, just like Hughes. He BELONGS THERE! 1-2 innings with his being able to let it go!!! Fastball, slider!!! Who else is better suited to replace Mo???
When he was in pen, he had his head on straight, now just full of excuses!!! I do think Hughes will be starter in near future!!! Halliday? Doubt it! 32 and still good, but have to give up too much and has NOT done well against RS and Angels!!! Don't need more of that!!! Wang, don't get your hopes up!!!

Tarantula,

If money is an issue for Toronto, then that is not necessarily something they would say no to. Oh wait, Joba sucks right now.

Nick in SF,

You going to any A's vs. Yankees game next month?

I hope to head out to one or two.

If you're going, let me know, we could toast Yankee domination in the parking lot over some delicious adult libations.

Lindy McDaniel going 13 innings – wow. Was Houk trying to impress the Texas baseball coach? Interesting that Billy Martin was coaching the Tigers that day too.

McDaniel was quite a good pitcher. He had a brother (Von) who should have been better, though. Age 18 and first two games were 4 inning shutout relief jobs, 2 hits, 0 walks and 9 strikeouts. First start was a complete game shutout. Hurt his arm the next spring and was finished.

Murphy, I said that a few days ago - I think Cash did ask JP to give him the last call. Let the Yankees decide what they are willing to give up - then let JP call with the best offer he has and see if the Yankees want to match it.
