CB: Are you kidding?? Isn't it usual practice to leave the game pitcher alone? Don't be starting up some new crap about the others players not liking Joba. Joba won that game for chris sake, whether he sat alone or they all sat around and told jokes is not pertinent. You must be kidding?

"Rob came up with the great idea to have the current players — along with the Old Timers — sign the wall with a silver marker. The rule is that only Hall of Famers can sign within the logo."

so Guidry can have his # retired but he can't sign inside the yankee logo

that don't seem fair

Robertson, Melancon, Tomko, and Bruney have not pitched in over 10 days. Nobody should get upset when they are rusty and have shaky command.

Tigers must be sick. They had a comfortable lead in the division, and all of a sudden it's a three horse race.

Nip & tuck in the AL East the rest of the way.

Grats to the Doc and the Blue Jays for helping trim the lead to 1 game.

Yep, the schedule is going to get tougher next week... should be interesting. Winning that Tampa series is very important.

Three game sweep of the first place Tigers, very impressive - even though the Tigers have no offense to speak of.

OK, let's take at least 5 of the next 7 at home.

Then comes a real good test of this teams mettle: Road games of 3 in TB, 4 in Chi. (and the White Sox are red hot right now), 2 in Toronto (why only 2?), then home for 4 against the hated Red Stockings. If the Yanks can go 9 and 4 in those games, then count me in as predicting a real good postseason - WS maybe????

What a great series, wow. The cherry on top was Joba stepping up and competing. Got some fire in his belly, just great. Another big step in his development. All he needs is patience. And for those who maintain you can't throw FBs all the time, I give you Mariano. Everyone knows what's coming and the speed. Pitching is like Real Estate - location, location, location.
