My name is Marco Chiappetta and On 7/20/2009,My non profit organization Patchwork was honored to be part of The Yankees organization, HOPE WEEK (7/20-7/24) The New York Yankees donated $10,000 to the cause to support our mission. Our goal for our non profit organization is that every teen completes our leadership program inspired and properly prepared to start their own charities, foundations, or nonprofit organizations. Michael Kay would gladly trade for Halladay and then not extend him, lol. That makes a lot of sense – give up some of your best prospects for 1 ½ years of Doc. I do agree, though, that it’s slightly annoying that no one can spell or pronounce his name, lol

the Yankees have 71 games left, 41-30 puts them at 95 for the season. Even with all the alleged ‘weaknesses’ they are 41-22 since early May, continuing at that pace puts them at 100 wins. The Rays are the only team with the potential to get there (the Rangers don’t have enough pitching) and have been below .500 on the road and are playing at a pace to win 91, in order get to 95 they have to step it up (and soon), particularly on the road. I don’t see where the Rays have the starting pitching to go on an extended winning streak. If the Yankees split the remaining games with the Sox and Rays they will most likely win the division, you heard it here first

More worrisome to me is the DH situation, where it is likely we will not retain Matsui, and looks like Jeter and Posada will be hogging that role in the very near future.

There’s only one DH though, and two of Posada and Jeter. It is likely that both will lose their on-field defensive capabilities at the same time. Who takes DH?

Judging by the way Jeter is playing this year, I dont think this is going to be a problem in “the very near future”. He’ll be fine at SS in 2010. Then, they go from there. So theoretically Damon can be the DH next year and play OF when A-rod, jetes or jorge need a DH day.
