Wang should not be counted on for the rest of this year. Even without surgery he’ll need to slowly bring himself back to rehab starts.

i’m not saying my relatives in maine would hunt out of season, but i have a hunch those moose would be on a wall up there if they strolled across the family farm up there.

when you’re sitting in the den there’s an awful lot of eyes looking at you.

You always have something to say about moose up here. I forgot to tell you earlier I had a bull and cow moose walk through my yard early one morning this spring.

The couple of weeks ago a doe and two fawns.

I kid Dennis about living in Moose Tongue, Maine. Your place sounds like my brother’s in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Wild game everywhere…and some are even animals. His biggest problem is bears and wolverines coming down from Canada (about 20 miles). They’re being pushed south.

Yes, Mike still owns the team.

His daughter is doing as well as can be expected. Most of her eyesight is gone but she is doing very well making the most out of it.

Hoping for the best with the little cutie. I’ve only seen pix of her. Met Bill Veeck out in the left field bleachers at the old park. He’s sitting the, talking to the fans, drinking beer, smoking his cigarettes and getting a tan. No shirt on and a pair of tan shorts…..using his artificial leg to hold his cigarette. Had a small hole drilled in it for that reason. What a character.

If what MaineYankee said/wrote about Baldelli being up for DFA, those “low-risk” acquisitions aren’t turning out so well – Baledelli, Smoltz; Penny is just ok; add to that Lugo being released and the Sox eating his whole contract (what, 12M?), and that’s quite some coin being paid to guys who aren’t contributing.

And before anyone starts about Carl Pavano….I know. Doesn’t change the bottom line, however.
