Sheeley Duncan was DFA'd back in January shortly after the Yankees signed Tex and it became apparent that there was no room for him. Every other team in baseball passed on him. If they had a need to bring him up they would have to DFA somebody else on the 40 man roster and when they need the roster spot again they wll need to DFA him again. If they leave him in the minors ther is a chance he will eventually haave some value to the yankees either as a player or a trade chip

Is Shelley disliked by this staff? There have been a number of times he could have been called up, yet he hasn't.

rm Your name wouldn’t happen to be Mike Frnacesa would it?

What did I say that caused you to to insult me like that? I'm sure Francesa is a much beter typist than I am but he doesn't know much about the Yankees.

"Typical Red Sox nonsense trying to get something for nothing."

Can you blame them for thinking this? Teams have been taking it up the pooper by the Red Sox for years.

Does Curt Schilling for Casey Fossum ring a bell?

The Yankees aren't carrying one extra pitcher they are carrying two. Melancon has not pitched since the break and now Albaladejo joins him on the rust heap.

Jackson should be called up and given starts again pitchers who do not strike out many hitters. He can also pinch run and be a late inning defensive plus. It's just 2-3 weeks, not a season of part time duty and wouldn't negatively affect his development one bit.

Didn't the Yanks drop Cano into the 2B spot a few years back - in Tampa - and let him sink or swim?

If you're going to bring Jackson up - either play him FT @ CF, or let him stay in AAA to give him the ABs to the point when you believe he will be ready.
