Glad to hear Claggett is coming up again. I got to see his first appearance when he was invited to spring training this year. Also sat next to his proud parents in the stands and have been in touch with them ever since.
Also have seen him in Scranton since his brief appearance in the Bronx with the 22-4 Wang massacare in which he attempted the bail out. So now give the kid a chance and adios to Cody.

Did anyone see that the Red Sox backed out of an agreement with a prospect named Payano? They said he didn't pass a physical. Boy that name is so close to ... well you know!

Hopefully, Mitre is great and Claggett goes back to AAA tomorrow.

For all the Shelley haters, I ask this question.

How can you use stats on prospects in the minors for other players and then not use them for Shelley? He is blasting the ball down there. Chad Jennings over on the SWB board said that he hoped that Shelley would get another chance because he has earned it. He also said he wished people wouldn't be so down on Shelley just because he had trouble adjusting last year to the ML. He said Shelley is different this year! Since he see a He__uva lot more games of him than the rest of us, I trust him more than this boards viewpoint. Should I remind everyone here of how many times the board has gone AWOL over Posada, Andy, Joba, Hughes, Jeter, ARod, Melky, Cano, ....

Shelley is crushing the ball, especially LHP. I would hope that someone of importance wouldn't make a decision based on an at bat or one game about some of these guys. If that were the case, then Mantle, Williams, Ruth, ARod, Berra and others would have been DFA'd before they became stars.

Why the hostility? It's just a blog, and I admitted that my remarks were harsh. Calm Down ! Do you like Ransom that much?

Ransom is not that good but no reason for people to insult him. He did his best.

Release the 2003 list. Smearing Piazza is not right either. And wasn't Mota given a 50 game suspension for PEDs in the last couple of years? Maybe he was on steroids when he hit Piazza.

I’ll believe in the end of the Cody Ransom era only when he’s officially off the 40-man roster.

--------------------------------------------------

If the Yankees DFA Ransom, they could resign him (if no one else claims him), send him to Scranton until September 1st and then call him up after September 1st.
