He is killing the Yankees. That's what's wrong with writers and fans today, forgive total lack of effort, if the player comes back with a big hit or 2. How about rewarding guys that give you 100% every day, game in and game out, and have the balls to bench a star player in a huge situation, because he's not giving it his all. Remember Billy Martin pulling Reggie out of a game because he didn't hustle down to 1B? Stars get too many passes in live and in the game. Give me a team of Jeter's and Tex any day, not just their abilities, but their professional manner and all out effort on every play.
