Now that Gaudin is here, I gotta think Mitre has one more start to prove himself.... He has to have a quality start next time out or Gaudin gets a chance in the rotation.

Gaudin is pitching in the NL and in a pitchers park. He will be coming to the AL east and the yankees stadium is not consider a pitcher's park anymore. People should not use mitre as a basis if a deal is good or not bec. mitre was awful so a lot of pitcher is better than mitre.

I gotta believe that Mitre staying in the rotation has a shelf life of about 6 minutes. Gaudin isn't making anyone forget about David Cone anytime soon, but he has proven himself to be a decent major leaguer and, over his last 9 starts he has allowed 3 or fewer runs 7 times.
Again, this guy isn't slated to be a star but he has already proven more worthy of a spot than Sergio Mitre.

Burnett needs to come up big tonight. beckett has been lights out since before the All Star break. Don't figure to get more than 2-3 runs off him.

Mitre is on a vert short leash for his next start if there really is one. The slightest sign of trouble and Chad Gaudin will be ready to go and make a case of being the No. 5 starter.

Gaudin good sign. He has some potential, not great but much better than Perez does. Welcome aboard.

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) directed by Eastwood has some GREAT music… other than the tracks by he & his daughter which are there (to be bypassed). He’s a huge Jazz guy.

I used to live a few blocks from Jim Williams' home. That was an ugly 4 trials. Good book and good movie, but, a lot of liberties taken with facts. John Berendt didn't meet Williams until a year after the killing and after the 2nd trial, in prison.

"I vote for tagging Beckett early. Lets beat down their bullpen til their arms fall off. I’m tired of hearing “red sox have the best bullpen in baseball blah, blah, blah”"

Agreed. If Beckett pitches badly tomorrow the Sox all of a sudden have to be worried because he and Lester are their only reliable starters. They also have Buchholz going on Saturday, who has yet to pitch into the 6th inning in four starts this year. Meanwhle the Yanks have CC, who is almost a lock for 7 innings.
