Pete I disagree with you. Sure Vic did his time, but does that mean he should be paid to play football again? He should go earn a real living like taking orders for burgers or washing cars. The NFL should be ashamed! What do I tell my kids? "Yeah It's okay to kill dogs as long as you pay your debt to society?" Horrible!!!

For those of you who would like to compare the stadium dimensions - here's a nice graphic that overlays the dimensions of the old vs the new...

"Wolves figured out that man would feed them if they snopped snarling and stared answering to ‘Fido’. So they evolved into a cuddlier species."

tell that to the 12 week old jack russel puppy my manager has in the gallery with her which is really a cross between an alligator and cujo.

it kind of works out because when someone has a customer service issue, i introduce them to my new customer service manager, cujo .

returns have been kept to a minimum.

I don’t think he needs to become a dog “lover.”

***********************************************

Absolutely. I would think that would be actually more hypocritical. Someone who could do what he did, clearly never loved dogs - and being forced to do become one by way of "restitution" or "absolvence" is pointless.

People who own dogs should like them. Kinda a moot point for me though, because I think his sentence was too short and we shouldn't be having this discussion for a few more years. But thats just me. :)

"Really? Just how sorry was Hamilton that he stole close to 5 million dollars from the Devil Rays? How sorry was he that he went out and got loaded with a bunch of young girls while his wife was at home with the kids? Hamilton is no better than Vick or anybody else that has done what he has done."

Pretty sorry considering he told His Wife, Selig and the owner of the Rangers about it months before it was released to the public.

That sounds like something Vick would do right?

The man now donates his time and his money to helping kids and talking to anyone that will listen. He's very upfront about his past and is also very fan friendly.

That sounds like Vick too right?

When Vick throws a 70 yard downfield flea-flicker TD on a trick play to Deshaun Jackson, nobody will remember what he did.

Was anyone thinking about steroids when A-Rod hit that 1st pitch 3 run HR in Baltimore?

When Kobe Bryant was scoring 60 points at MSG, did anyone think about what happened in Colorado?

Just win baby. This is professional sports not a choir.

not true at all.

only some

those peta people remember till the end of time.

stuart a August 14th, 2009 at 5:50 pm

wave your hat you are correct i was not thinking.

i assume san diego would only take igawa if the yanks picked up some of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

------------------------------

Stuart, when a team makes a waiver claim they agree to take on the whole salary. There is no negotiation regarding who pays salary unless the teams opt to negotiate a trade. In this case, trade negotiations failed and so SD was still on the hook to take both the player and his entire salary if the Yanks agreed to let the claim go through. Instead, the Yanks withdrew the waivers and so both Igawa and his salary remained with the Yanks. I hope that this helps to clarify.

Just got home from work. Waiting till 10 PM is rough.

1. It really is amazing that the Red Sox can't find a SS, while we've been spoiled - yes, spoiled - by Jetes the past decade and a half. When you factor in what they still owe Lugo, and whomever they get to play there, the Sox are going to fork over close to what Jeter is getting paid, for much less production in that position.

2. Don't get me started on PETA. It is only because Pete doesn't want political discussions here that I'm going to refrain. It's probably good for my blood pressure, also, not to think about it.

3. Another win tonight.
