Tickets available for blog outing
Our second-annual outing to a Scranton game is set for Aug. 30 after being postponed in July.
There are five tickets available for the 5:05 p.m. game against Pawtucket. The $32 cost includes the game, a hat, t-shirt, program, plenty of door prizes via the Yankees and The Journal News and all the food you can eat.
There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, pasta salad, cookies, soda and water. A cash bar will be available.
Anyone interested should e-mail Ron at yankslifer@yahoo.com with the number of tickets they need and he will connect them with a seller.
I’ll be going myself and looking forward to talking baseball and having a good time.

I heard Rainn Wilson will throw the first ball in Scranton.
So Gammons says if the Nationals decide in a year or they can’t afford Strasburg, they can trade him to the Yanks or Sox for 4 players.
What 4 players would it take to get Strasburg?
Looking forward to it.
If they think we’re trading Chapman to them, forget it!
Can’t take the time to initiate and administrate a Lohud-er gathering in Syracuse NY but I sure would attend….
Wonder if Pete could get to Syracuse??
Scranton is a little too hard to get to from New Haven without a car but if AAA MVP Kei Igawa is pitching I might just have to find a way. I remember his first year here telling all my friends to draft him as a sleeper fantasy pick….what a joke!
