Ok, so I have a question for the blog posters here…

If you had to pick, considering all there were absolutely awful today, which is the aspect of the game the White Sox played THE WORST Saturday?
A) Pitching (10 runs allowed!)
B) Hitting (1 — ONE — hit in 9 innings, against basically our two worst pitchers)
C) Defense (3 errors)

Every time I think I have my answer, I look at the other two and realize I’m back to where I started

Ozzie was very articulate and on point with his criticisms here. Its a shame what’s happened to BOTH baseball teams in Chi-Town this year. I was really holding hope for the Cubbies. If the Yanx can’t pull it off, I hope for the Cubs. Its a real shame. But that’s baseball.

You should hear how La Russa talks when the Cards slump and loses games,he pouts and calls out players.Maybe it’s a midwest thing.

Hey, at least Ozzie doesn’t sugar coat it. It’s refreshing to hear a mgr be honest and not give the usual “Well, we gave it 110% but it wasn’t in the cards for us” response or some variation thereof.

I’m sure that will play well with his vets like Thome, Konerko, Posadnek, Dye and Pierszyski as well as his young rookies. BS like this has a Billy Martin shelf life….about two years.

Kenny is one of those guys that falls in love with a player and will get him regardless of whether it makes sense or not. Remember last year when he got Griffey, Jr? Why? Because he’s had a man crush on him for years and the opportunity presented itself. It ended up being a waste of both of their time. It’s the same with Peavy. He wanted him and got him, even though Peavy really didn’t want to come to the AL. How do you think that’s going to work out?

Mark my words – the Peavy and Rios deals are both going to come back and bite Williams on his rear end.
