I just won 2.5 million "pounds" in the Canadian lottery!!

Honestly, the emailer should have just used the email address notthesharpestoolintheshed@ignorantscammer.com with a screw-up like that.

Jeter is bunting for a hit every single time he does that. At worst, it is a sacrifice and he keeps his average up. Either way it still helps the team.

They should just put Melancon on the postseason roster because Bruney is a mess. I rather have a young kid with talent and fire.

Nick in SF. I’m sensing that you’re not perticularly fond on Mr. Bruney ???? What do you think of my A-Rod 100 rbi’s wager ?? If he gets his 100 or so AB’s I have a shot

------------------------------------------------------------

He has a string of 100 Runs scored, 35 homers and 100 RBI going at 11 straight years. Not likely that he keeps the 100 Runs scored in tact, but, the other two are doable.

Noooooo, I am not unfond of Bruney, I was the original "I'm a Bruney Believer" pin wearer on LoHud. I hope he puts it together. I just don't really trust him anymore. He has definitely had stretches of dominance, but they never seem to last all that long... I hope we see more of it.

As for Arod 100 rbi, it's probably a decent gamble, but the worry is that he gets more rest as October draws nearer.

Jerkface September 4th, 2009 at 12:33 am

Bruney was lights out until he got injured. There was a stretch where he struck out like 13 of 15 batters faced.

That series in Tampa where AJ dominated, Bruney absolutely annihilated those guys

------------

Exactly. At least someone else has a good memory. I know it was early in the season but it wasn't THAT long ago.

Bruney was filthy early in the season. It would be spiffy if Girardi could get him right heading into October.

Bruney hasn't been pretty while getting the job done, but, 1 run in the last 9 games hasn't cost NYY any wins, either. 1 run in the last 10 games, covering 10 innings. The 7 walks are a problem, but, he's not allowing them to score. That matters quite a bit. 3 of those walks were in one game. Only Rivera and Hughes has a longer scoreless streak going for the Yanks. Like I said, he's not pretty at times, but, he's better than watching Edwar Ramirez getting lit up.
