Gate times for Monday’s DH
The Yankees have a day/night doubleheader on Monday against Tampa Bay.
The gates will open for the first game at 10 a.m. Once that game is over, fans will be ushered out with cattle prods, fire hoses and vicious dogs. Gates for the second game will open at 5 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. start.
This info from the Yankees:
The second game is the rescheduled game from June 5. Fans holding paid tickets, purchased directly through the Yankees, www.yankees.com or Ticketmaster, for the June 5 postponed game may use them for the rescheduled game between the Yankees and Rays or exchange their paid tickets for any regular season game at Yankee Stadium within 12 months from June 5, 2009 (subject to availability).
In addition, the promotional item – a Yankee Stadium Figurine courtesy of Sports Authority – scheduled to be given away on June 5, will be distributed to the first 18,000 fans, age 21 and older, with tickets for the rescheduled game at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for the postponed June 5 game will only be valid for the rescheduled 7:05 p.m. game on September 7, not the regularly scheduled 1:05 p.m. game.

What happens if there is an extra inning game? or a game taht ends at 4:45?
“What happens if there is an extra inning game? or a game taht ends at 4:45?”
Cattle prods, hoses and dogs.
And by the way, those Stadium figurines make excellent ashtrays for your post-season Yankee themed party!
With the Yankees, a 4-plus hour game is not out of the realm of possibility!
Any player greetings for the 1st game?

It’ll be like the Saigon airlift….
Is there a better sight than seeing the letters “LHP” in front of the opposing teams’ starters?
NYY hits .291 / .368 / .497 / .865 OPS against lefties.
Even with our questionable starters going in the Toronto series, I’d be shocked if the Jays win the series.

THE GIANTS HAVE LANDED IN COLORADO !!!

“In talking with folks in the know Thursday, I’m told the plane was not there as part of a meeting between any team officials and Marshall. Plus, a team spokesman said the Giants do not own a private plane”

Thanks for the info Pete…I’m going to both games. I just hope I’m not prodded or hosed on the way out of the first game ..lol. I’ll have time to hit the deli to pick up dinner for the second game. It’s going to be a LONG day and I’m DEFINITELY praying neither game goes to extra innings.
Go Yankees 2009 !!!
I’m feeling 12 in a row.
Uncle E-
Are you up to date in your Jeter countdown? I thought his hit last night put him at 8
Dennis, have a great time in Philly – and let me know where you eat, lol.
Savannah is a definite – I’m going to both Savannah and Charleston in October with my parents. Will you be down there at that time? We are just now starting to think about where we want to stay in Savannah – any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I would love to hear about any non-touristy places – so thank you very much, and thank Amy as well, in advance.
Swisher is on Cowherd’s show right now, funny he’s a big Ohio State fan and his girl is a Gator
“Has CB been around?”
dennis-
he made an appearance to point out the yankees have hit at a .900 OPS for the 7th , 8th and 9th.

Take solace in the fact that your prediction was a testament to your Faith in the Captain.

Kate-
Did you know Johnny Damon is the AL record holder for most hits in an inning with 3? LOL
He did it in the 1st inning of a game against the Marlins in June 2003. And who was the starting pitcher for the Marlins that day? Carl Pavano

Did you know:
Robinson Cano has more hits than anyone in MLB this year, not named Ichiro or Jeter?
He also has the 4th most doubles of anyone in MLB.
He also has the 14th fewest strikeouts in MLB, among “qualified” batters.
Not bad for a guy who frustrated many of us so badly last year.
Kevin Kennedy was going on for innings last night during the Red Sox-Rays game about how Josh Beckett’s arm angle has dropped. Since he’s not coming over-the-top more of his pitches are leaking over plate (as evidenced by the HR party he’s been throwing).
Harold Reynolds said Beckett is tipping his pitches, someone on ESPN said his hands seperating are causing the problem and now Kennedy says arm angle. Sounds like the “experts” are as clueless as the rest of us.

not much to say, except it’s strange seeing the town i live in as i stroll/scroll thru the comments
Cano also leads the AL in total bases at 282. #s 2 and 3 will be in the new barn tonight in the persons of Aaron Hill (281) and Adam Lind (280). Teixeira is at 273.
He’s also 5th in ExBH’s with 64. Teixeira is 3rd at 67.
My bad. They’re in Toronto this weekend, not here.
Just bought tickets to the night game on Monday. Wonder whose pitching.
pat as long as he can’t figure it out that is all I care about.
Amos Moses
CC or AJ
Rick Suttcliffe said he was over striding.
Jennifer
Thanks, in that case I’m going to an interesting game either way. Hopefully if its A.J.we I can see the real AJ not the imposter we’ve seen lately.
Saucy
yep it’s nice up there.
BFARBS
I’m going to second DH game too, but I don’t care when he makes history because I rather him play well through the weekend so they can keep winning.
If you want him to be in a funk so YOU can see history then you ain’t a real Yankee fan just a selfish brat.
Guys who starts on next Sunday if AJ and CC pitch Monday? Do you hold CC for the one game Against the Angels?
