Gardner's defense and speed is very valuable to this team. The other player that people should not be sleeping on is Marte. he has always been a solid pitcher and is very tough on lefties. The extra lefty in the pen is huge and if Marte is healthy I actually have more faith in him than Coke. Either way Marte will be very valuable in the postseason!

If the Yanks lose more than 8 games from here on in I'd be surprised - calling off the dogs or not.

The Yanks only need to go 15-14 during their remaining 29 games to reach 100 wins.

needless to say im a big Brett Gardner fan..can’t wait to see him rejoin the starting line-up
____

Unless this is a joke, i don't see Gardner getting that starting job back this year. Melky is starting to heat up again and his fielding hasn't been an issue.

the outfield will be fine next year. Jackson, Gardner, Melky, Damon, Swish. There is speed there. Athletic OF is overrated. And i would take the bat of Damon and Swish over faster corners with less power and less obp. 37 games over .500? Man Swish and Damon are KILLING US.

Girardi will give equal time to Melky and Gardner so that they're both fresh for the playoffs.
Can't have Melky sitting too much.
