Oh my! This is just horrible. Where does manners go?

The MLB should do something about it sooner.

Kevin, I've been a fan since Mantle, Maris, Ford and Berra. It's fun to drop my Yankee allegiance into a conversation with friends (mostly Blue Jay supporters) and hear the cries of outrage!

Interesting about the rowdy Toronto fans. Maybe that incident with Alex Rios wasn't his fault. The press made it sound like he was rude to the fans. Maybe the fans were very rude to Rios.

Believe me folks, all fellow non-Torontonian Canadians hate everyone from Toronto. This is a perfect example why.

Jim, couldn't have said it better myself.

On the dinking @ sporting events note, I am surprised that alcohol can be consumed so close to field level.

I went to two Jays games in August, a Yankees game (sat in the lower deck near 3rd base) and an Orioles game (upper deck behind home plate). I didn't see a single example of bad behaviour, hear a single obscenity, no one threw anything, and no one even got angry. Everyone around us seemed to just be enjoying the game. There was minimal drinking, and I saw more ice cream bars being consumed than beers.
My point is not that there aren't idiots at Jays games (or sporting events everywhere) but that the idiots are a very small percentage of the crowd. And as a Canadian, I certainly agree that something should be done about said idiots. They ruin the game for others, as well as ruining the reputation of an entire fan base, city, and country (as demonstrated by many of the comments above).

It probably wouldnt take much to get the embarrassment that is the Blue Jays contracted or relocated. They have basically no fanbase, a complete dive of a stadium (is there a worse looking field in MLB? I cant think of one), and teams dont like going there. I say get baseball out of Canada altogether. Move them to Vegas or something.

I have to agree with Kevin from Edmonton. I am Canadian, I was at the game, I love the Yankees. Don't judge all Canadians by the behaviour of a few idiots. The whole Canadians should stick to hockey is also offensive. I would hate for Canadians to start judging all Americans by a few acts made by idiots at a sporting game. I have seen bad behaviour at other ball parks too.

I can't believe all the comments that playing on stereotypes.

As a Canadian baseball fan how doesn't particularly like hockey I find some of the comments made offensive. There are bad fans everywhere.

We are "p*ssed off because we are Canadian"? It must be "because we have socialized healthcare". Our national sport (I assume this person meant hockey even though it's actually Lacrosse)is "people just beating the crap out of each other"? Or "maybe this just miss hockey". I suppose I could go on but it would be fruitless.

Don't judge all Canadians by the actions of a few idiots. Just like I won't judge all Americans by the action of a few American idiot sports fans. It is patently unfair and somewhat xenophobic.

Just my two cents (that's 1.8 cents US). LOL
