Somebody will win a prize today
As of noon today, this blog had 999,306 approved comments since Jan. 17, 2007 when we installed the new software that counts the comments.
Whoever checks in at 1,000,000 today will get the following fabulous prize mailed to them:
• A Yankees soup cup given away at the Stadium last week.
• Yankees luggage tags given away the Stadium over the weekend.
• Marty Appel’s terrific book Munson: The Life and Death of a Yankee Captain.
• A Yankees ski cap.
• A Hope Week baseball cap courtesy of Jason Zillo, The players all have these and they are a limited edition.
• A LoHud Yankees Blog t-shirt from our 2008 outing that I just found in my car.
That’s a lot of stuff. So make your comments good ones, they could earn a prize.

Cool stuff, Pete. Someones going to be happy with all of that, especially the book.
i guess you will see a lot of loyal lurkers like me chatting today…
Didn’t that whole 1,000,000th comment thing already happen?
Great prizes! Guess I’ll have to hang around all day.
Does anyone know when the individual post-season tickets will go on sale? I am assuming it is when the Yankees clinch but I am not positive. Does anyone else have any idea???
Thanks!
just wanted you to know this is the greatest blog ever and its always dialed up on my phone and my work computer….
Thank you for not including the hand sanitizer that they gave out on Monday. I feel it to be the worst Major League Baseball giveaway of all time, but I could be wrong on that.
Nice Prizes….
Hot stuff! (In the case of the soup can, literally)
nice prizes
i hope i win.
Wow that is a nice list of prices. I hope it is someone who is a regular, and not a troll. Pete you can disqualify them we won’t tell.
that is amazing that we are coming up to the 1,000,000th comment
why does it look like we’re already at comment # 1,031,340?
do the deleted comments and comments that get stuck in the filter not count?
Erica
You notice there’s no snoopy?
Wow that’s amazing! I just hope the winning post isn’t something like:
“Pete, why do you hat A-rod?”
or,
“What was Girardi thinking with that line-up”
or even worse,
“Boy i hoe we don’t choke like the Mets did last year!”
News Flash people, we are NOT the NY MESS!

Didn’t that whole 1,000,000th comment thing already happen?
—————
That’s what I thought too – I guess based on the “comment-…” tags it’s past 1 million, but not since the Jan 17th counter started
Ill be back when there are 999,980. Still over 600 to go !
I predicted Chien-Ming Wang would lead the staff in wins this year.. what does that get me (besides a dunce cap?)
All I want is a Championship, but after losing 2 out of 3 to the lowly Oreos and Beckett, Bucholtz and Lester looking play-off ready…..I’m not too sure it’s going to happen this year for the Yanks.
They’re getting pooped out and running out of steam.
how many comments does the Mets blog have?
I bet #1 million will come in the game thread.
Prizes are fun.
Best of luck everyone! Great prize pack.
Well, I guess it would give me an excuse to finally buy some luggage and go skiing.
Those prizes sound great. Especially the soup cup because I was at that game and they ran out of the promotion early so those soup cups became more valuable than gold. A security guy had to escort the last box out of a mob of people to the main gate. After the game people were scouring the seats like vultures for a chance to find a forgotten and left behind soup cup, it was ridiculous.
Commenters should be coming out of the woodwork today.
OT – think girardi is approaching tonight as a must win to widen the gap for home field?
I bet the 1 millionth will be something critical about tonights lineup.
Nice job – thanks!!
With Joba starting tonight, the 1,000,000th post will definitely be critical of the Yankees handling of Joba and how he should be a reliever. Pete will love it.
tricky! too bad we can’t see the counter.
Would it be wrong of me to just post random thoughts over and over until I win?
there goes my afternoon….
refresh
wow, thats cool
I’m more interested in when Jeter will collect his one millionth hit…
why would anyone want a coup cup that probably was 10 cents to make?
Pete, You are the man. My day doesn’t go well if I can’t start off on your blog. Keep up the fantastic work and lets see #27 in ’09!!
What does the 1,000,001st commenter get?
I really hope the millionth comment is a lineup complaint. “UGH why are you playing Hinske Joe, don’t you know this a must-win game?!?!”…That would be perfect.
Too bad there’s no way to block the comments with a filobuster.
Good stuff, Pete.
Anyone know what the Yanks magic number is to clinch a playoff spot? I’m thinking it’s got to be around 8 or 9…?
I hope the comment is not a Joba bash. For some reason, I have faith in him come playoff time. I feel like he’s going to get pumped up and go all Clemens-like on the opposition ( maybe someone should supply him with some iceyhot…)
The Mets blog is also giving away a prize… whoever makes the first comment gets an autographed copy of “Portrait of Gary Carter as a Young Expo”.
I would love to win the prize I read this blog everyday, Pete and the readers do a great job…thanks Rick
The Munson book was a great read!
I hope I win
Even without the contest, this is a great blog!
No Yankee brick in the give-away package???????? No stadium dirt either???
Good luck to everyone and awesome idea by Pete.
Are international readers (like me) qualified? =)
1,000,000 prize
is the shirt pete worn?
Of course no bricks, those things are not cheap!
i love the yankees
RMEL, from a previous thread………..we disagree on this. IMO, there is nothing to wait and see about. Phil is a starter and that’s where his future lies. I expect him to be an exceptional starter……….not necessarily next year, but in a few years…and he will be one for a long time.
Amazing Scranton can do so well given how many of their key pieces got called up. Shows some actual depth in the system.
Here is a good question, what if Pete is the 1,000,000 post?!! I guess he just keeps all the stuff LOL
I seriously wonder what counts as a post and what doesn’t. I mean think about it. Some people double and triple post all the time because the submit button gets stuck but i’m sure all of those will count. And what about deleted posts. They must have counted at some point. Or troll posts or posts just bashing Pete because people can’t take a joke. None of that junk should count either.
Then, on the other hand, you have guys like CB and SJ who probably contribute the most insightful information to this blog but write novels in a single post so they have a lot less posts then others. My advice to them, split up those posts at least for today!
watch everyone wait until 11:59 and then there’ll 200 posts in 20 seconds
Pete – nice of you to take care of your loyal readers. Good Luck everyone!
Well, according to the source code of the web site, we are well over a million plus comments. But, ah well, someone is gonna come away with fabulous prize.
I have not felt compelled to post here in the past, though I am a daily reader. Thank you for the rich thoughtful commentary, Pete.
Nice work Pete! Deserving milestone for the blog…
This is intense! Go Yanks!
jeter is a king. and we will be facing torre in a few months.
kinda scary!
I never win anything.
those luggage tags sure do look cool
If Joba stinks it up again tonight, shouldn’t the Yankees consider taking him out of the rotation for the rest of the year? I don’t believe these 3 inning starts are helping with his development. He could start again fresh next March as a starter. What about giving Aceves another shot as a starter?
Are “international” bloggers eligible? It’s hard to find these kinds of things in…western Canada.
Eh?
I would love to have a Yankees ski cap for the winter!
The Yankees have a diffrent vice this season and the fans do as well and I should know I am there a lot as I work at the stadium
I was hoping in a way that the Yankees lose a few games in this stretch. It will keep them on their toes. It was good to see some emotion in yesterday’s game.
did i win. what a fun game pete.
thats pretty cool.
1 m yikes.
How about a free ticket to witness Carl Pavano’s next MRI?
Anyone see the hot concessions girl catch the foul ball yesterday?
How about the Sunday edition of the NY Post was the Jeter tribute?
I hope I win.
so now John Henry is writing a blog:
http://www.nesn.com/2009/09/jo.....09-13.html
Love the blog Pete and would love to win a prize…Go Yankees
1,000,000. Wow. Congrats.
What about the dinner you mentioned a few weeks ago, Pete?
Congrats on all the comments Pete. I’d love some of that stuff.
This milestone is best understood in a baseball context. Jeter’s big milestone was for outlasting (and outhitting) the Iron Horse after all these years. Rather than the 1,000,000th commenter, I’d like to celebrate LoHud passing AOL in longevity (or at least in number of annoying free CDs given out)
I hope I win
Great job Pete, those are nice prizes!
So none of my comments counted? That accounts for the difference…
i want a soup cup because i like soup.
very nice Pete…hope I win, but it would be really great if it was one of your long time posters.
BTW: you can often find those prootional items on ebay
what is up with espn.com today. they’re launching espnboston.com? what exactly is the difference?
that should be “promotional”
I don’t comment much but please know, Pete, that there are many longtime loyal readers of your blog who appreciate your blog immensely. Thanks for your hard work.
I hope the flurry of comments that comes when the number approaches 1M (easy to figure out thanks to the per post comment counts) doesn’t take down your server.
Cool!
Wow, that’s a big pile of… well, it’s a pile!
will get there real quick now that he posted that
wasn’t dinner supposed to be part of the deal or did i miss that on the prize list
Great blog, Pete!
do you have a half-eaten baby ruth for us too? kidding kidding
Rishi,
LOL. I was going to stop reading after the title, but I was curious.
So it was all a joke, huh? We kind of figured that out. He’s only now realizing that certain things don’t translate well on the internet? Jeez, really?
did I win?
ESPNBoston is part of ESPN’s new “ESPN Local” campaign designed to run local newspapers out of business by providing what they consider comprehensive coverage of local markets. I think there is already an ESPN Chicago up and running–but I don’t think the launch got quite as much main-site publicity as ESPNBoston is getting today (perhaps playing to their own niche a bit much, no?)
The Yankees had an opportunity to sign both, Willie Mays and Ernie Banks, but due to the well-documented racist views of George Weiss, they remained a segregated team until 1955 and Elston Howard. Just imagine what could’ve happended if Weiss so the error of his ways six years earlier? The demise of the Yankees in the mid-60s might not have happened, but that’s water under the bridge.
Anyhow, a great article about what may have been.

Since Pete gave us a time stamp of 12:00 with 999,306 comments you could theoretically keep track of the total number of posts by adding the additional posts made after 12:00 in every need thread Pete makes from here on out. Of course, the count is given right on the homepage at the bottom of each thread so it’s easy enough to add. The only problem with that is some people, for whatever reason, go back and comment in old posts when nobody is going to read them because they think they are being clever. That would screw up my counting method. But we’ll see how close I am! I’ll keep guessing throughout the day!
Congrats, pete! This blog is truly teriffic! I check it at least 3 times a day!!
RMEL, from a previous thread………..we disagree on this. IMO, there is nothing to wait and see about. Phil is a starter and that’s where his future lies. I expect him to be an exceptional starter……….not necessarily next year, but in a few years…and he will be one for a long time.

Betsy, thats the things….Its about next year…not 2 or 3 years down the road…the Yankees are a win now team…Look what happened last year….They cannot wait for players to develop if they do not have too….IF they can get a proven innings ready started they will get him…you have to be happy with Hughes pen know, right?
Haven’t been able to comment much but allow me to say this, went to the Hall of Fame this weekend and it is an absolute must for any baseball fans out there. I have at least 150 pictures and I could have spent plenty more time than I did. (I was with folks who didn’t love the history of baseball as much as I do.) I wore a Pete Rose t-shirt because IMO the man belongs. It really is like a church of baseball, fully stocked with whispering parishoners and an entry fee. On a side note, thanks and congrats to Pete and all the wonderful community of posters on the great success of the blog.
What exactly is a Yankee soup can? I guess I want to know cuz I just commented for no other reason
Go Pete – best damn Yankees news blog
I’m not going to make a comment just so I can win a prize.
Really, I’m not.
I don’t know if I want a shirt that Pete just found in his car…. huh.
My chances of winning are about as good as A.J. Burnett getting through a start without a walk or a wild pitch.
I thought the millionth post was awarded a dinner with Pete at Foley’s in the offseason?
It’s not a can of soup, it’s a cup that you are supposed to use to eat soup out of. It was the free giveaway at last week’s Tuesday night game against the Rays. It was sponsored by Boar’s Head and it comes with a small plastic spoon attached, along with a lid in case you want to drink your soup broth. The lid also means it could double as a cup for drinkin’
Huge yankee fan if not pete I wouldn’t of know all the updates bcs. John & suzan they really don’t give updates like you pete
Always read your posts and blogs. Your the best! Thanks for keeping me updated everyday.
Great stuff..my mouth is watering now for the soup!
Does anyone know how many innings joba could pith tonight. I hope he brings it together since we need him for the playoffs.
Does anyone know if the Yankees gave Jeter something for passing Gehrig’s career hits recored?
I’m about to move to Sydney, Australia from NYC, be nice to pack some Lohud gear and spread the word downunda!
Has there been any word on postseason ticket sales? Obviously I don’t want to assume postseason berth, but some information would be nice.
Look at everyone coming out of the woodwork… I love it.
No, they did a big front page deal with Chicago, too. And I found out about it before they put it up on the front page because of Pedro Gomez’s article on the big HFA of Fenway. I’ll have to reread it again, but I don’t think he mentioned the wall once. He mentioned the old girl charm, the friendly right field corner, and the loyal fans.
And why is espn.com using Ortiz as the face of the Red Sox? Shouldn’t Varitek be there with his “C” jersey, too?
And can we get any gear from frederick air conditioners?
1,000,000 posts – good job!
Nice! A hat and shirt will double my wardrobe! And a soup cup? Now I can have friends over and serve them some hobo chili in my new set of China!
Pick me! Pick me!
It’s 80 degrees today, I need a Yankees knit cap

Anyone know what the Yanks magic number is to clinch a playoff spot? I’m thinking it’s got to be around 8 or 9…?
======================================
I checked the records back to 2001. Any team that won 94 games each of those years would have gotten the AL wild card. So, if that holds for this year, the Yankees only need to win 2 more games.

I agree, Cooperstown is a beautiful little town. Its fun to be there w/ so many baseball loving people…up where I am hockey rules.
Long time reader first post ever, hope this is # 1 mil, its hot here in phx so the soup cup would be a great paper weight for my desk at work go yanks! (added by Mobile using Mippin)
Congratulations on such a successful Blog!
I think the magic number is around 13
If I win I will donate the can of soup to a homeless shelter and not give anything to anyone who supports the travesty that is GTLU.
I am sure I missed this, but Uncle E, who won the Jeter hit contest?
The travesty is that you still think there is a can of soup involved in this prize.
Don’t comment often but I read this blog every day. Almost a million posts. Congratulations Peter. Thanks for maintaining this outstanding blog and giving us great insight into the Yankees every day. Here’s hoping for a million more.
Justin (New York)
Buster,Is Brett Gardner eligible for the post season roster???thanks!
Buster Olney (12:59 PM)
Justin: Yes. Anybody who is in the organization on Aug. 31, whether on the DL or what have you, is effectively eligible for the post-season (some machinations have to be done for guys not on the 40-man roster, but that’s easily taken care of with one guy on the 60-day DL, like a Nady).
Justin (Redlands, CA)
Hi Buster, is this the year the Angels finally get over the hump and knock Boston out in the first round?
Buster Olney (1:00 PM)
Justin: Put it this way — they’re much better suited to do it this year than in past years, because they have more power in their lineup. But let’s face it — the bullpen is going to be the Angels’ greatest area of concern in October. We’ll see if Kazmir (who presumably will be lined up to pitch Game 3 in Boston, where he has had some success) can make a difference.
Did I win?
Are you a troll if you read everyday, at least twice, but do not comment?
Andrew, now you will not receive my soup if i win.
Random question: Got an email over the weekend saying that Robbie Cano is making an appearance Wednesday in Woodbridge, NJ. However, it said to click for more info, I clicked and then the website said he was making an appearance in Wayne, does anyone know where the real site of his appearance is going to be?
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, Appell’s bood is great, a must for Yankees fans.
I don’t get it – shouldn’t we all be chipping in to buy a nice gift for Pete in honor of this awesome milestone? He’s the one who puts in all the hours of hard work to make this site as great at it is!!
The travesty is that RS’s classic “I hate Pedroia” wasn’t the millionth comment.
Oh, boy. Someone brought up the Jeter hit contest. Nick in SF will be responding.
Peter, I want to say thank you..I never knew what blog was until yours came out. I have put many of my friends on to this blog and they all enjoy it. Thanks you!
Wow this should be exciting.
I wanted the Yankees ice cream bowl, but I didn’t make it to the stadium on time.
Btw Pete you should tell your editor that I, and presumably many others, had never heard of the Journal News before we started reading this blog. The blog has done wonders to publicize the paper.
I am really looking forward to reading that book
On an non yankees side note about books. Jon Krakauer’s (author of Into The Wild) book on Pat Tillman comes out tomorrow. I would imagine it is going to be outstanding!
I have the Yankee Soup Can from the game last week. Its actually pretty cool. It even came with a little plastic spoon that I am 100% convinced will melt when placed in hot soup
i could really use that can of soup right now. i’m starving.
The one millionth post will probably come during the game thread. I hope it is a positive one.

The travesty is that dopes like you fail to understand that without the thousands of comments generated by GTLU, we would not be anywhere near as close to the 1 millionth APPROVED comment as we are now.
Oh- and people like it. So shut your face
By the way I was serious about my comment that we should all chip in to buy something nice for Pete. Maybe there’s somebody out there willing to organize it?
Why did ESPN even need to launch “ESPNBoston” ?
ESPN (the main branch) and ESPNBoston are basically the same entity, no?
All of those GTLU comments could be deleted and the world would be a better place.

Agreed. I laughed at that one when I heard about it. It makes me wonder if that was long planned or just something that was cooked up because of the hysteria over H1N1…
Either way, a really odd giveaway for baseball.

Buster talking Fielder+Bay/Holliday in Boston.
His “gut” tells him Fielder will be a Sock next season.
Should we now call you Santa Pete?
So thankful I found the lohud blog 2 years ago, its the first place I go for accurate news (most of the time) and some comic relief on a long season.
The Yanks Wild Card Magic Number is no more than 9 — the WC competition being Texas. Texas can win 100 total, so 9 seems right; Boston is 4 ahead of Texas.
So there ya go. 9

Why did ESPN even need to launch “ESPNBoston” ?
ESPN (the main branch) and ESPNBoston are basically the same entity, no?
——
They are launching local sites around the country. ESPN Chicago has been around for about a year now I believe. I am pretty sure they are planning on launching a site for every major market in the next couple years.
Sports Business Journal has covered this pretty extensively I believe (I don’t get to read it as much as I used to). I think by delievering high-qualtity local coverage geared specifically to each market they are looking to cut out many of the local newspaper website coverage (as well as be the first stop for local sports fans)
I wish the prize included Yankee Snoopy
I would be having a full blown conversation with myself for the next few hours
Is this just pure speculation on Buster Olney’s part, or has he heard something from a source?:
“Prince Fielder tied the Brewers’ club RBI mark — which, of course, won’t make it any easier for Milwaukee to keep him long-term. Pure speculation: I think he’ll be playing for the Red Sox next season. As Keith Law wrote the other day, the Brewers will soon face the quandary of capitalizing on his trade value after this season or risking losing him after the 2011 season.”
Joba better pick it up soon
This has been an enjoyable and informative blog. I check it often throughout the day and have pointed it to both Yankee fans and non-Yanks fans. Thanks Pete

“Pure speculation: I think he’ll be playing for the Red Sox next season”…um this sentence might answer your question
Rishi,
No. Perhaps because Ichiro’s a M-ariner? I saw a picture up right away on espn or mlb that showed Ichiro tipping his helmet, so I’m sure the Rangers paused the game for the event.
While it’s true that Ichiro’s milestone isn’t getting much play, it’s not really a milestone per se. It’s a streak.
Somehow, I think the Jeter thing was partly a celebration of Gehrig and partly a celebration of Jeter.
some lame-o will win this…unless Pete pops in at the right time to reprimand someone and wins it.
Buster now pretty much just claims everyone will be playing for the Red Sox in the future so he ends up being right at least once in a blue moon.
“Buster talking Fielder+Bay/Holliday in Boston.”
Victor Martinez, Youkilis, Prince Fielder, and Lars Anderson; with Lowell still under contract. Is Boston also going to demand that Selig change the field to put extra bases out there for their games? Of course, all the extra bases will have to be first bases.
He says ‘pure speculation’, I realize that, but it would be odd to just pull that out of thin air and put it out there to spread…
Erica-
if I had a Yankee Snoopy I would give it to you for being such a good hostess of GTLU
Anyone have any thoughts if Wang or Webb will be signed by the Yanks?
Why is ESPN continuing to try and trumpet fake trades for the Red Sox? That has to be one of my biggest peeves.
Pete,
Great prizes, I wish AJ throwing a decent game was included
I just threw up in my mouth a little. espnboston.com? Seriously? At least ESPN is showing their bias front and center.
At the risk of sounding dumb-
Why on earth do the Sox need Prince Fielder next year? They already have one giant guy as their DH who has been barely adequate. He is still signed for two more seasons I think.
Is Prince Fielder really that valuable as a first baseman?
Anyone have any thoughts if Wang or Webb will be signed by the Yanks?
–
The yankees will keep Wang on some kind of deal , I doubt they take a flyer on Webb (Who I believe has an option which has to be declined but I’m not sure)
Cool. Count me in.
erica
sometimes I feel as if I am having a conversation with myself in here. Especially when I say something I think might be thought provoking. The lack of comments can be overwhelming.
Whats the deal with AJ? Is he hurt or just on his 2nd bad pitching streak of the year. I’am hoping he turns this around the last week and into he playoffs as he did around the All-Star break. He may be the one guy we need to step it up to push this team deep into the playoffs.
Hey Pete, great site.

I Love the blog. It is the best Yankees information center ever.
Prince Fielder will not be traded to the Red Sox. He is a Boras client. There is no way that Theo is going to give up good pitching for him. I think the Red Sox will go after Felix or Gonzalez. Olney is stupid.

I wish the prize included Yankee Snoopy

Me too. I really want one of those.
new thread
He says it’s pure speculation several times.
Of more interest is that he thinks the Yankees should choose the series with 3 starters. He don’t trust Jobber?
Maybe throw in a free dinner with Kei Igawa.
This contest is great even without the blog!
(I am currently in the epicenter of evil, will probably be driving when the winning comment is mase — no soup for me
)
AJ threw a career high in innings last year. A tired arm, less control, even for him, and you have what we’ve seen.
Erica,
Ortiz is signed until the end of 2010. The club holds an option for 2011 but I doubt they will pick it. Lowell is signed until 2010 as well. Twenty five million are coming off the books. They can use it to sign Mauer.
Let’s see if my luck has changed
“His “gut” tells him Fielder will be a Sock next season.”
I hope it happens. That would allow them to break AL record for position guys who should be DH’s, currently held by the 2006 Yankees.
Did I win?
When are they going to get ESPN NY?
Pete, the blog has always been a pleasure. Keep up the good work.
Am I #1 million?
The Munson book is prize enough – what a great week. My fav stadium giveaway was the hand sanitizer key chain night. Really? What ever happened to just good ol hat, glove and bat day?
I like prizes…
Great contest and great prizes!
pete and everyone it has been fun following the blog this season. if the season ended today we would play the tigers, i like that match-up but they are also one team that can be very scary if and when they get hot. verlander and percello is a great 1-2 in a short series. cc and andy have been outstanding in the second half, but who knows with aj and joba. what does everyone think…
That stuff would be great to get!
Who doesn’t like prizes??
can I drive bruney & marte to the airport to get lost as a prize?
Was the chicago site published on the front page with such a huge mess of articles to go with it? Simmons, Gammons, and Neyer (who are all Red Sox fans) don’t show bias?
Did I win
I really wanted that soup cup!
Chris I believe I won..check back for 2,000,000
I hope it will be something about me! GGBG!
Peter great work I love to read
daily go lohud go yanks 2009. Our year
This will totally be rigged…
Always appreciate the info and updates Pete from here in Sunny South Dakota. This lifelong Yankee Fan will be making the first trip to the new stadium next week to catch Friday’s game with the Sox and Monday’s with the Royals – very excited and should be great.
Great prizes
What, no hand sanitizer keychain?
That’s a neat thing to give away something for this milestone. Congrats on getting there. I’ve been reading for years and it’s always a top notch source of good info. You and River Ave are my baseball lifeline… well that and going to 60-70 games a season.
So much for work this afternoon. only thing better would have been for tonights game to be an afternoon game!
The book is a great prize
Love the book.
Book is a great prize. Great stuff Pete.
Watch a Sox fan win it
The hope week hat sounds like the jewel in the collection.
Pete us the bomb
Keep up the great work Pete. My employer really appreciates the frequency of updates on your blog!
Just a random 1,000,000th comment
go yankees!
Am I the only one who kind of hopes that the 1,000,000th comment is ironically inane? (like this one)
This is a neat little promotion you’ve got going Pete.
Regardless of who wins, congrats on getting to the 1,000,000 mark.
Wow 1 million comments, that’s great. I read the blog daily.
A million comments, incredible. Keep up the great work Pete, Yankee fans everywhere appreciate it.
Nice Job Pete…Your Updates are great esp when they are weather related info. Thanks for all the hard work.
Looking forward to the next million. Great analysis by Pete but also (mostly) good insight from well informed fans.

I like turtles… and prizes
keep up the good work pete!
Saw my first Bruce show a month or so ago. I could not help to think to myself that Pete would have been like one of the people around me who knew every word to every song, no matter how obscure.
cool prizes mr. abraham, keep up the excellent work!
Its my birthday today. I hope this is number 1,000,000. That would be a great gift.
“• A LoHud Yankees Blog t-shirt from our 2008 outing that I just found in my car.”
