"If you use Safari, our web site does not allow you to click to the second page of the story for some reason. I’ve been after them to fix that and it has fallen on deaf ears so far. To read the whole story, click the print icon and it’ll come up.

Sorry about that."

I use Safari or shall I say one of its clone type OS. The ONLY site I have problems with is the Lo Hud paper. I will be happy to be able to read your articles and notebooks in full length without problems at your new paper.

Jeez, Bru -- I know that Joba is the #4 pitcher in the rotation, OK? I am just asking if he can be left in the rotation EVEN tho they do not intend to pitch him in the division series. I am not saying he should pitch before CC AJ or Andy.

My point is that if he does pitch relief let him come out of the rotation instead of the BP.

Is it a hard rule that only intended pitchers are left on the rotation list and everyone else goes to the bull pen??

y/w

i agree

it will be nice to see burnett, joba pitch well in their last few starts

it will be very interesting to see were joba fits in

can we use joba in the first series without over resting the others & do we want to??

is joba going to be the 3rd starter or pettitte?

i just dont see joba starting over

cc
burnett
pettitte

his numbers do not warrant it but what he can do makes it very interesting

i just remember him beating becket in fenway 1-0 wich is very hard to do

JeterJobaCanoFanForever, enough said

i think the yankees are going to carry a certain amount of pitchers

i dont see them labeling anyone a starter or reliever

they cant tell joba anything now because they need to see him pitch in is next few starts & we need to see who we are playing, when & what setup we are chosing.

joba knew all along that anything was possible?

how can we say to burnett or pettitte that joba is starting game 2 or 3 when we just dont know what the better option is?

wo do you want in game 1 or 2. joba or burnett/pettitte ??

impossible to tell

if joba is lights out over is last 2 starts & pettitte & burnett get bombed it gets more difficult

girrardi will go with his best options & when burnett, pettitte, joba are pitching about the same the decision gets tough

if girrardi has a chance to use joba in game 4 because he feels it is to our advantage he might do so

Betsy --

Good point about the mean not being determined a priori. My main point here was Mo would have to get a BS eventually and the team probably wasn't going to go .700 for ever.

Bru --- Thanx for putting me on the "A" List -- I'm flattered to be in that company.

I full intend to stay right here and expect that either Chad Jennings or Sam Borden will manage it and it will not change dramatically.

I would rather have lost last night's game the way they did than win a 10-9 game with AJ pitching poorly.

JeterJobaCanoFanForever, enough said

joba will be used when needed.

if he is the best option he will pitch

right now burnett,cc,pettitte are better options & if joba was lights out now burnett or pettitte are in the pen because we only need 3 pitcers for the first series i believe

keep in mind the more innings & pitches joba uses the more days off he needs.

if he goes 1 inning we can use him the next day possibly,2 innings he might need a day off or more, more than that who knows

it will be interesting to see how many innings joba takes away from hughes in the first round.

i think because of jobas inconsistency the team is having a hard time figuring out where joba belongs & the fact that we just dont know if pitching him over burnett or pettitte is the right choice

they might very well use him in game 4 as long as it does not push cc,burnett, pettitte to 6 days rest

do we have an advantage using joba in mismatch against the other teams pitcher??

is there a mismatch?

i am not sure there is one.
