m, I started the Young Master Phillip Hughes thing back during the off season……I clearly started calling him Young Master Hughes back in April when he was called up to pitch vs. Detroit…..Somewhere along the line many here believed that he was from a family of wealthy means….SJ44 made refernce to that by indicating that he was soft because of his life of priveledge….He’s just some kid who lives in Orange County in a upper Middle Class area of million dollar homes which really is the norm around the coastal area of OC…….Sorry to get back to you so late, but I was finishing up a RISK game…….Actually Betsy could provide you with the dates better than I…….

I’ve had access to pre-statehood birth records. Boys born in the territory of Hawaii were called “Master”. Just the cutest thing. Just like my Phil.

Kepner had an interesting Bats entry today. Thought you might enjoy the comment by “Jeff S”. The NYT readers are very harsh on Joba. Nearly universally so. Bad fans.

He also compares Joba & Sergio since Aug. 1st. It’s pretty bad.

Feel like I need to eat more fish for health reasons, and sushi is pretty easy to buy here in Taiwan. They love Japanese food in Taiwan — even though it’s a lot more expensive.

That California roll doesn’t sound bad. I think I’ve seen sthg like that here. Now unagi isn’t sthg I’ve tried. Thanks for the recommendation.

Gotta go back to work. I hate losses because it’s a bit of a downer for the rest of the day. I need to not care so much about the team, but I do. I admit I’m a rabid fan. Truthfully, I’d feel better if we could get back on our winning roll. We need to have a lot of confidence going into the playoffs.

What are you doing up so late? Counting your stacks of money?

You really need to stop picking against my teams. It’s getting irritating already. Not a good weekend sportswise. Nearly every team I cheered for lost. Except for Rainbow Wahine volleyball, the Yankees behind CC, and the Steelers lost.

Hopefully, the Yankees win tomorrow. More importantly, though, is Pettitte comes through without any issues.

BTW, meant to ask you. Who was the first to call Phil, young Master Hughes?

I want to take credit for it, but I’ve seen you and Nick use it, so I could be wrong.

For the squeamish, there’s other kinds of non-raw sushi. Unagi is eel basted with a teriyaki sauce. This a good one for the novice.

Then there’s California rolls with crabmeat, mayo, and avocado.
