No offense to either, but I’d rather skip straight to The Mick.

BoSox lose & Yanks win, we’re looking at The Mick ……Real nice tribute by Doctor Dave to Pete….It was less than a 1000 words…..

    Nice.

Mark and CC and swisher are making cash money a front runner for Gm of the year….lets see that puts the best record, the mvp, the cy young, the relief pitcher of the year, and the gold glove at 2nd SS and 1B. Seems like theres nothing else to accomplish in the regular season.

    See you in October!!

isnt the magic number really 2? I get the whole division thing but once you’re in the playoffs anything can happen.

    Pat M. September 20th, 2009 at 1:51 am

Mr. Franco, I was here for the start of the game, and the people that were posting made me think that I got off the wrong exit……All I could think of was how long a night it was going to be here……Then suddenly so many of the core posters arrived and sanity arrived……I felt like brown loafers on a black Tuxedo here

    —————–

It’s amazing how many people lose their minds so quickly. I tend to avoid this place during game play for that very reason.

You also have to wonder how these people deal with real life issues at home or work.

I sure as hell hope none of them are 9-1-1 dispatchers. That would be a scary thought.

I tell you Mr. Franco, it was strange here there, unlike anytime ever before….

I like these posts with jersey numbers corresponding to the magic number. I also like how the magic number keeps getting smaller. That makes me feel good.

this blog is setup already to be the best

    the format is the best
    it is easy to navigate
it is like 24/7 im session like no other

    it will live on

we basically update it ourselves but petes input is needed to set the tone

  14. PD September 20th, 2009 at 2:57 am

Franco, does your BS spewing machine ever shut off? Or does it keep going 24/7? That has to get annoying for your “real life” friends and family at “home” and “work”. I mean give me a break dude. All you do is complain about other posters non-stop. I realize I am doing the same thing now, I can usually ignore the annoying posts, but for some reason I can’t with yours. Tell me something, do you ever get tired of playing armchair psychiatrist? Some people are irrational while watching games. They live and die with every pitch. Sure some people on here give up on games too quick, they make lame comments, etc. etc. But to actually read their comments, and make basically derogatory statements about their personal lives and how they live day to day… that’s out of line dude. You don’t know anyone here. Don’t act like you do. It’s really too bad Pete is the one leaving the blog and not you. Oh yeah, and cool name. Funny. Original.

Azaz — what are you trying to do? Break up our ” blog family”? You can go over there; I’m with Bru. We’re set to continue here. We just need a replacement that can try to fill Pete’s big shoes.

Can’t you guys stop kissing up already???

It is getting sick to look at.

Running a discussion oriented blog is not rocket science.

how ‘bought some props for our greatest 3rd baseman; #9 Graig Nettles [apologies to Clete Boyer]. Maris is baseball immortal. Nettles was the hero of every 70′s yank fan after Munson’s tragedy and if not for some arky in Baltimore, was the best in baseball.

    It should be 0 already.
