"Gotta love ESPN’s Baseball Tonight. They just said, “if the Yankees have a weakness, it may be CC Sabathia.”
I’m not joking."

if the goal is to squeeze into a pair of size 32 jeans, yeah he is the weakness. Going for a World Series trophy, not so much.

Ryan has been preaching all year about making the pitchers go deep, throw out the pitch counts, saying to give more when they think they are done.

Today's players haven't been brought up that way. They are on pitch counts/limits from the earliest games they play.

I fully respect Nolan Ryan, but he is from an era where arms were pushed and ruined in many cases. The successful ones of his days were horses. Trouble is there were probably a ton of pitchers who had short careers because they were used so heavy and couldn't stand up to the work load so early.

When arms are wearing down they lose control and command and some speed. I think that is some of what we are seeing from Texas.

It doesn't help that they play in such hot weather either. They are usually gassed by this time of year anyway.

Nick,

Keep what to myself?

If that's your way of telling me to keep my nose out of your business, I'm all for that.

"The Angels will probably be clinching tonight. Somehow I can’t see Texas coming back in this game. They are don’t have anything left to give."
