M, oops, I thought you meant ? about the team. About Joba, I completely agree. The Yankees can’t be happy – and I agree, he really isn’t going to play much of a role in the ALDS……We’ll see about the ALCS, but I doubt it. He’ll be fine down the line if he does the work necessary (meaning: keeping in shape), but this year it’s just not working out.

Amazing piece of writing, considering that squeezed in between those losses is a tie for the record number of wins at home in the first year in a new stadium, a 102-win (so far) season, and the best record in MLB.

Today’s start was to see if he could follow up on his last start, which was a good one.

I think they were looking to see what role Joba would fill in the first round. But his performance today (11 baserunners in 3.2 IP) may have actually cleared up the ALDS picture a bit. I think his role will be minimized. If they make it past the first round, they’ll have some decisions to make. But until then, he won’t be used much, I think.
