If you’re looking to talk baseball with Reggie Jackson this playoff season, you can call into his new radio show. Jackson will be a co-host (along with Bill Pidto) of “October Nights” on Sirius XM Radio each Tuesday for six weeks beginning Oct. 6. The show is two hours long and will feature calls from listeners.
In other more ridiculous news, check out this insanity from Mariners radio analyst Mike Blowers, who correctly predicted during a pregame show that Seattle’s Matt Tuiasosopo would hit a home run that day and nailed the inning, count, type of pitch and (nearly) location in the stadium where the ball would land.
Not bad. If this were the old days, George Steinbrenner would have called Blowers and told him he was a “warrior” with his predictions, then offered him a five-year deal to be Senior Vice President of Crystal Balls.
