June 3rd the Rockies were 15.5 games behind the Dodgers.If they win the Division,it’s the 1st time in the history of baseball that it happened.

I hope the Tigers and Twins deplete their bull pens,both win their respective games Sunday.Play the extra game,and the winning team party’s all night,and show up Wednesday hungover.

in the audio that’s up girardi sounds like he’s going to be making up his mind on joba as the playoff series unfolds.

looks like he’s going to be really paying attention to how joba does in relief tomorrow.

that’s it for me tonight.

can’t wait for the playoffs to begin.

It’s currently on appeal, but I am hopeful.

One more thing about Joba and Gaudin.

Worse case: you start Gaudin and he bombs, but the Yankees move on anyway. Then what do you do? Move Joba from the pen to starter again?

I dont think that’s the way to go. Give Joba the start, keep him on a short leash.

If there’s a game 4 it has to be Joba. He has the best ability out of anyone in the rotation to hand that ball to the Coke,Hughes or even Mo.

Brandon, for what it’s worth, I’m under no illusions about Gaudin. He’s been a very good pickup and I actually like him out of the pen……..but someone has to pitch the 4th game IF we get there. Either way, the options are not palatable.

There is no basis that Gaudin would pitch well. Yes we agree to disagree, w/ innings/pitches limits Joba’s 2009 has been better than Gaudin, who we really don’t know anything about. He did have a 4+ ERA in the NL, lets not forget that.

I think it’s best for the Yankees and Joba for him to start.

I am also hoping that the results of the first 3 games will make this a moot point.
