Bet tigers cannot wait and hope that someone will take Miggy off their hands. This is a classic example of a player not being a team player when it most counts. his team is tanking and he is out drinking all night with the opposition. When I first heard about the bruises I just figured it involved a woman who was probably not his wife. Well it was a woman but it was his wife. Can't say I blame her for being angry. She has common sense to realize that this bum is throwing away playoff cash!

Based on bruises that he has tells me that you don't want to mess with her.

Cabrera has a world of ability and snot for brains. That is why he will likely not be in this game by age 30.

What's the big deal? Giambi did the same thing in FL during the 2003 WS and it didn't affect him or the team. Oh, wait a minute...

I hope this costs most if not all of the possible MVP votes, and pushes him on the rest of the ballots. Mauer, Jeter and Tex all deserve votes above a player that gives up his team when they need him most.

Generally when the Yankees don't go after a player I really wanted, I realize that they have a brain (e.g., Manny, Cabrera).

No one would care what Cabrera's BAC was if he went 3-4 with 5 RBI and carried the Tigers to a the AL Central title.

There was always the scuttlebutt in Florida that Cabrera ate/partied too much. Same thing with Dontrelle. Looks like its at least true in Cabrera's case. What a dope.

How does a 225lb plus man have a .26 BAC after several HOURS of drinking?? He'd have to put down 10-15 drinks, minimum!

If I got wasted drunk just before the biggest work related event of my career I'd be fired. Meahwhile, fatboy Cabrera does just that (after tanking the last 2 weeks) and then has the audacity to call his BOSS to pick him up from the police station!

What a messed up world.

.26 BAC

Domestic Disturbance with wife.

Team in mad-playoff scramble.

Drinking with opposing team.

Had to be picked up by team GM.

Going 0-4 with a K in the following game (and I believe an important GIDP).

Wow.

We can only begin to imagine the outrage if this were A-Rod. I mean it would be EPIC. Mike Lupica and Wallace Matthews would have 50,000 word novels on the topic. I think Francessa would actually devour is microphone out of anger...

"Can you imagine any Yankee going to Cashman about Joe’s managing?"

I could last year. This year? Not so much.

Cervelli is an exciting player. Unless they buy Joe Mauer, I think he has a bright future in this organization.
