It was a bad call, no doubt.
But you can't conclude that, if the call had gone the Twins' way, they would've won the game.
One thing leads to another. But you never know what the "another" is going to be. Had the Twins scored, the Yanks might've come out for the bottom half of their inning and exploded.

The reason the Twins lost was not the blown call. That was unlucky. The reason they lost is because they couldn't get a run home with bases loaded none out. Minnesota Twins fans are pretending they got cheated out of the win because of a single instead of a double, but if they want to beat the yankees they've GOT to get a run home with bases loaded none out.

Yes, Mauer should become a Yankee, why not. Go ahead and buy him too. This really makes the sport so competitive. A lot of parity here. So 2 things need to be fixed in this sport - parity via a salary cap (can't dispute how much the 200 million dollar boys have contributed in this series), and instant replay has to be added. That call down the LF line was one of the worst ever. Instant replay in football has trained spectators that wrongs have to be corrected, they cant be swept under the rug!

not sure if anyone mentioned this but, the missed call might not have even mattered if the umpire wouldn't have expanded his strike zone on the yankees. how many pitches were really balls instead of strikes last night? how many walks would we have had? how many more men on base? the umps blew the game way before the missed call.

-Got a a series of email from Cardinal fans.
They want Albert gone, because he hasn't hit a run since Sept 9th.

-They are convinced La Russa is drinking again. He thought the closer (the one that blew the save)and gave up the winning run, did good and was really impressed with his pitches.

-Albert gone,is St Louis crazy? Pujols on the open market, one could only dream of the Alex like money for sure.

I'm sure cheeseburgers are involved somehow.

Not to change subjects before the impending Sux loss...but ESPN2 just did a "Pie Montage" a few minutes ago on Sportcenter...try to catch the repeat...showed the Yanks about six or seven times.
