What a great game. Burnett was very very good despite the walks and HBP's. If the Yankees had scored 4 or 5 runs we would be talking a lot more about AJ's performance. IN any event, A-Rod can start playing up to his ability now that he has shaken the "choker mentality. Seeing A-Rod in the dugout with Jeter after the homer was priceless. Jeter gave A-Rod a little bump on the shoulder as if to say, "welcome to the club". Epic meltdown for the Twins after outplaying the Yankees for 8 plus innings. Yankees need to put this thing away against glass Carl on Sunday. Now a win by the Angels would make it a perfect October night. I am still speechless. What a great game. But the fallacy of the predetermined outcome comes into play. Mauer on 2nd, next 3 guys can strikeout. You don't know what would happen. Different pitch selection, different infield positioning and hitter mindset. If I'm I Twins fans, I take loaded based 0 out as opposed to man on 2B with 0 outs.
