Pavano felt slighted for some reason after joining the team and proceeded to malinger out of spite for the next several years.

He could’ve contributed. He didn’t. He may have cost us championships.

my point is that everything has been said about the poor baserunning and not enough about the heads up defense. Jeter helped, but the SS almost always does that, the key is the RF making a great throw.

Jennifer, I’ve seen the replay ten times and the runner was not responsible for the run not counting. No other runner busts it every step of the way once the throw goes elsewhere. Blaming the runner for that out is like blaming the catcher for a hanging curveball
