@ I like pizza
So both ALDS are 2-0, assuming the Sox or Twins don’t win 3 in a row, how does everyone feel about the Angels and Yanks matchup?

Honestly, a little sick to my stomach but no more than the final WS games will scare me. Gotta beat em to get the ring. We have the bats, we have the pitching. We've never been in a better position to win. It'll take lots of luck to get to the promise land.

"They already want Pujols gone(if you can imagine that.)"

Who in their right mind would want Pujols gone? He's probably the best hitter in baseball.

Wait a minute, St. Louis, that great baseball city that never boos their players, that nESPeeN always sang praises about how great and understanding their fans are, are looking to be rid of Pujols and Holliday?

I guess they didn't get the message from the media talking heads.

I've been reading and hearing Gardenhire throughout this series, and I just find myself liking him less and less.

Insinuating that the game turned on the bad foul ball call, when his team left 17 on the bases, now giving Mauer an excuse with being injured.

Poor job. Poor managers look to give a lot of excuses, good managers acknowledge when flaws show up in their team.

Notice that no one talks about the bad strike calls that the Yankee batters had.

I am not a fan of Girardi, but at least he owns up when the bats are doing poorly, when they don't play well. It isn't admitting defeat, but he also isn't setting up a "reason" for if they fall short.

Last season Jeter was playing hurt for most of the season, yet no real word on that. Its the no excuses type play that earns far more respect.

Joe from Long Island

St Louis will ask for his head, when they lose. They already want Pujols gone(if you can imagine that.)

You will be hard pressed to find a great fondness for La Russa in STL.Every body suspects he was drinking heavily again in this series, and it clouded his judgement.

LaRussa has an ego the size of Texas. He is also very defensive about his moves. (Sidewalk psychologists, make of that what you will.) That is why he will not leave St. Louis, because he can not and will not tolerate anyone (ie, media) who questions him.
