Posada hated it. Hated it so much he couldn’t wait for spring training and the chance to try again. Now that chance is here.

Of course he cared about sitting on the bench for Game 2. Of course he did. That is what makes him special. Jeter might be the captain of the Yankees but Posada is the soul. The heart. The guts. Always has been.

It does look like Joba will be in the pen for the WS. If Girardi believes that is the best for the team – so be it. Even though I would rather see him pitch the 4th game.

vintage Pettitte tonight- so solid. think about this- Derek Jeter and Andy Pettitte are about as good right now as they have been in their entire careers. That is very impressive for Pettitte being a 37 yr old SP, but Jeter’s a 35 year old shortstop. For a future hall of fame, all-star shortstop (or any shortstop really) to say that he is as good as he ever was in all facets of the game at the age of 35… simply amazing… screw Jeter being overrated… he’s UNDERRATED… he’s the second best shortstop to ever play the game besides Honus Wagner… look at the titles and stats this guy is going to end up with… who knows how many hits he’ll end up with… what a leader, he just goes out every postseason and says alright guys this is how you do it… follow me…

Key to the Yankswinning the ALCS is to get into the starters so they’re gone by the 6th inning so they can expose the Angel bullpen……a very weak link
