Maybe people should read the entire quote in context before rushing to judgement.

It was a joke for Christsakes!! Actually a pretty funny one. It is absurd to not rent to a Sox fan and absurd to think it acceptable to not rent to a Jewish person. Thats all he meant. I am a Sox fan and detest the Yankees … but he was a touch of class. Old man George made bigger faux Paxs on a daily basis. Lighten up!! I seem to remember a similar joke in a Seinfeld episode.

People really are very thin skinned. Irish people had to endure “No Irish need apply” for years. We got over it and we moved ahead. Ronan is a very nice decent person, who has made an awful lot of people happy for many years. Why does one flippant comment overshadow all the great things this fine human being has achieved. Small people love to pull down big people. Why?

Folks, if you choose to live in New York City, you are picking the most Jewish community in America.
It’s an ironic joke. You know, like, if somebody is looking for an apartment in Chinatown and you tell them, “hope you don’t mind Asians.”
Or in Harlem making a stupid comment about black people living in the neighborhood.
Politically incorrect and stupid, but, come on, here’s an Irishman living in a building full of Jews in a city full of Jews. If he were truly anti-semitic, he probably wouldn’t be there.
