Yanks' scouts had a meeting with that Japanese high school kid, Yusei Kikuchi the other day along with 7 other MLB teams and 12 NPB teams. Unfortunately he seems to be interested in playing for the Dodgers. On the other hand his baseball coach and his parents have reportedly advised him to remain in Japan.

Joe from Long Island -

I had heard about what the Phillies fans were doing, which is exactly what prompted me to write that they are crazy!

Plus, my husband and I were fortunate enough to go the Super Bowl a few years ago between the "Iggles" and the Patriots. We are fans of neither team, but ended up going for the Patriots because the Eagles fan base was, well -- let's just say the were green and the Patriots fanbase was more subdued!

If the Yankees are fortunate enough to get to the WS and Philly is the opponent, I surely hope they've got armored cars or something. :)

"Padilla threw all fastballs, and got tagged by a .071 #5 batter for 3 runs unbelievable."

Jayson Werth is a very good hitter. He is not an .071 hitter. Basing someone's worth on a handful of postseason games is silly.

I guess Mark Teixiera is a .100 hitter then.

That’s the Vincente Padillia everyone knows and loves.

He’s an average pitcher, always has been.

That’s why taking a small sample size of games in the postseason and suddenly declaring him an ace is silly.

That being said, the Phillies have a perfect lineup. It will take a Herculean effort for either the Yankees or Angels to beat them in the Series.

I'd say the same of our team, didn't we have the best record in baseball?

Gary
Citizens Bank Ballpark plays small. It’s a hitters park, gives up a lot of homers.

I'll say another one rockets out
