Jeremy. You keep talking about a feel for the game. Did the evil "supergenious" manager for for th angels not have a feel for the game when pulled lackey. You make moves and if they work you are a geniuous and if not you're an idiot. The only move I questioned was bringing in marte and that actually worked out fairly well. Phil didn't do his job and that's what the game boiled dowm to. You can question giriardi all you want but in the end the players have to execute or you lose.

I wish people would stop getting on the Girardi bashing bandwagon. I think his decisions today were sound. Burnett was cruising along with a low pitch count with bottom of the line up coming up. And we are up 2 runs. Burnett gives up 2 runners and Girardi correctly gets him out of there. I felt good about Hughes in that situation but he didn't come thru. And the Angel hitters hit his mistakes. Girardi did not lose this game. The guys (Burnett, Hughes, Swish) just didn't come thru when they were suppose to. The Angel players did.

Joe has no feel for the game. I just can't understand why this guy continues to not learn from his mistakes. I really liked Joe but he has given two games away and almost gave Game 2 away. He has to do a better job in Game 6 and then I will feel better about him. But right now I don't trust him.

Yes the players did have a part in it. But Girardi does not have a feel for the game. You don't go to A.J. in that situation, at least go to Robertson.

blake
Did you listen to anything I said ?

You Go to Hughes at the start of that inning with no runners on so the kid won't feel the pressure. At the first sign of trouble you go to Robertson and Rivera. It's common sense. And anyone with a feel for the game wouldn't have done what Girardi did.
