Weekends are AJ and the rest are very good that you are so fun to spend time after the regular work week. Above all it helps to relieve tension.

Hughes came within one pitch of getting out of the jam. If he had, we'd be looking at him far differently today. Someone to blame? How about Jorge? If I were Posada, I'd have called time, walked out to the mound and told Phil: "Kid, when you have a few rings like me, then you can shake me off. Until then, you put your ego in neutral and give me the pitch I ask for". If he had done that last night, there would not be a game tomorrow. The thing about pitchers is sometimes certain pitches are working; others are not. Last night, all Phil had going for him was his curveball, which Vlad couldn't see, let alone hit. His infactuation with his fastball - and Jorge going along with him - is what led to last night's problem. Posada has to remember these are young kids he has to manage.

Anyone else have an issue with the fact that both Joba and Hughes were shaking off Posada repeatedly in their appearances last night? Why arent these kids relying on the fact that Jorge has plenty of experience in these situations and just throw what he puts down. I dont really mind idea for the fastball up to Vlad but Jorge knew the best pitch to beat him with was the curve again so he never should have been shook off.

I have a bad feeling about this weekend. Ominous weather forecast. Up 3-2 going home in ALCS. Bullpen is blowing late games (3 and 5). This is all too reminiscent to 2004 - except having a 3-0 lead.

Yankee fans better pray that Andy Pettitte puts up zeroes for the first three to four innings and that the Yankees bats come alive with RISP right out of the gates.

If those two things don't happen, these guys are going to tense up and choke this series away like '04.
