The yankees 201 million salary versus the angels salary of 113 million tells you alot about baseball, its not an even playing field. The yankees should be able to take anyone in 4 games period!! How are teams like the Florida Marlins suppose to compete with a 36mil total salary? Its like putting mike tyson in the ring with pee wee herman to fight.

I have no problem with Burnett coming into a game for an inning in relief of Pettitte, tomorrow. NYY can pick the spot and the batters that he faces. I seriously doubt that there are many batters that look forward to facing him with that big fastball and curve.

If they’re going to cancel baseball games every time there’s inclement weather, they need to build a retractable roof.

Seriously. This is ridiculous. Every time there’s a even a shower, the game gets canceled. It’s so stupid. Just build a damn roof.

Everybody wins. The owners reduce the cost of operating the stadium in would-be rain-outs, the fans can make their plans with confidence, and the schedule does not go all out of whack.

There’s no reason not to have a retractable roof. This isn’t football. Baseball is a strictly fair-weather sport, as proven by the MLB’s weather policies. And though we all enjoy sitting at a game in the sun, I’d rather sit under a roof and watch the game than not see it all.

The words “Girardi” and “sense” have not gone together in any way this postseason.
I trust Andy to win this game if he starts, don’t get me wrong, but I also trust him to win Game 1 of the World Series, if anything it’s less pressure on him to win a series-clinching game. Start Sabathia tomorrow and then he can follow up Andy or AJ’s win in Game 1. Come on Girardi do the right thing here. And whether I like it or not, there really isn’t a viable alternative to Swisher in the lineup, Jerry Hairston Jr. maybe but I’d rather let him keep battling and possibly get on a hot streak, which he has done before in the regular season in just one game, rather than have an ineffective bat in the lineup.
