nesn is reporting that twice the Yankees almost signed Pedro.
The first was after the 2004 season.Big Stein told him he’d have to cut his hair.
The second was at the trade dealine this past summer.Cashman was given a report on his health the report said he pitched in the 95 range,Cashman said it was more like 87-88,and didn’t pitch well for him,plus he was asking for 5mm.

He gets 1.5mm plus incentives from Philly.Cashman said he wasn’t aware Pedro had lowered his price,whew, Yankees dodged a big one!!
