Phlocking to Philly

Josh Thomson
November

I am heading to Philadelphia this morning on a fun assignment, to capture the scene of a unique New York-Philly doubleheader. It isn’t often a key NFL divisional game is played within walking distance and within hours of a World Series game.

Anyway, the reason I mention this is because I hope some of you will find your way south for the doubleheader. I want to meet local readers who plan to attend one or both games. If that’s you, shoot me an e-mail at jthomson@lohud.com and tell me your plans. If you’re there, I’ll be in touch.

Hope to talk to you soon.

I lived in Philly as a Yankees and giants fan for 4 years. Never made it to a giants vs. Eagles game there out of fear!

It is weird that this weekend the Knicks played the Sixers (and lost of course), The Yankees play(ed) the Phillies twice, and the Giants play the Eagles. The only one missing for my teams was Rangers playing the Flyers. In all my years, I don’t remember that happening.

I’m a Philadelphia guy, living in NYC, huge Yankees fan, hate the Phils (and not just for this year) but love the other Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles!

Went home yesterday to try to scout out some WS tix, but they really are way over priced, so I came back up to NYC. Too bad so many fans left before the game was even over.

Anyway, gotta finish getting ready for my cheese steak/cake party!

wait ny still has a basketball team?
