One other thing. Last night I was driving from 9:00 - 10:45 and listened to Captain Fraud and Georgie Girl. Wow! they basically gave up after the Phillies three run inning and after the Alex HR the Yanks were "back in the game". How the hell are you out of the game down three in the fourth inning?

You guys are way too sensitive about TV commentators. First of all, no one is told to lean one way or the other on a national telecast. That's just dumb. Secondly, the Fox guys were clearly supporting the HR call on "camera gate" while ESPN and others have made it out to be some sort of controversy.

What Fox wants most is a long series.

I like Singleton on color, but when he or Flaherty does play by play I stick sharp objects into my ears to make them feel better. I fail to understand how Yes cannot have a # 2 PXP guy and just leave analysts to analyze.

there is on mlb channel right now a replay of the 1969 world series between the mets and orioles.

mike cueller is pitching. mike may be the best pitcher i ever caught in the bullpen. the thing is he was 50 years old when he came by to throw some BP and visit some friends on the team.

i didn't know who he was and after ten pitches , i stopped and said "who ARE you?" .

amazing screwball and other off speed pitches. but it was his command and spin on the screwball that stopped me. i had never seen a baseball spin like that.

he was also a very humble nice guy too.this is the first time i've seen video of him in his prime.

as doreen pointed out, listening to the announcers of this game is very nice on the ears. they actually give the scores and describe the action. i think having a professional announcer with no former player in the booth is a good thing. i think the announcers are lindsay nelson and curt gowdy.

shag crawford just threw out earl weaver- classic.

if i saw it correctly ,tom seaver just made a boneheaded play where he let a pop up bunt drop to get a double play and ended up only getting the bunter paul blair at first with the runners moving up.

interestingly enough the announcers didn't say how dumb the move was. civility may have been taken a little to far, but listening to them is still music to my ears.

couldn't a computer program take buck's voice and turn into nelson's and mcarver's into gowdy's?

It seems the mediots are harping now on the camera being so far beyond the wall. I've seen countless replays now of that shot. The camera is beyond the wall, but its only by a couple of inches, not half a foot, 2 - 3 inches.

Look at the top of the railing. That is no wider than 3 inches. The camera is beyond the wall less than the width of that railing. Had that camera not been there it would have been out. Yes, a cheapy HR but a HR none the less.

How can these idiots keep saying it is controversial? Other than in the limited mind capacity of Kruk and Phillies fans, that is.

"So while you’re enjoying the afterglow of a big win, please take a minute and think a good thought about an old dog."

I totally understand what you're going through. Nothing in life is like the love for a pet. I pray to St. Francis for my pet and I'll keep yours today in mind too.

Best wishes.

I think Singleton calls a pretty unbiased game. Kay sometimes overly gushes over the opposition players.

They would provide a less biased announcing of the games than Buck and McCarver though. These aer supposed to be professionals, Buck and McCarver along with Kruk should be ashamed of their lack of professionalism. its unacceptable.
