Great commentary by Ken Singleton on YES postgame - he said game 6 will be a interesting from a pitching standpoint as to which pitching staff can survive game 6 and come away with a win. Kay said it will come down to which bullpen will be better. He doesn't think either Andy or Pedro will be able to go deep into the game, and the only trustworthy reliever in either pen is Mo.

Betsy, you may be right that at this point, this is what the Yankees offense is. We can only hope that being back at home with a real lineup will help and some of the slumping guys perk up. The Yankees may have to slug their way to #27.

Haters: Enough with the "gutless" and "choker" stuff. Tex is having trouble hitting. He's not choking, and he certainly hasn't taken it out onto the field. Maybe Kevin Long can help him come around, maybe not. Either way, Tex is a great player having a rough postseason on offense, period. AJ had a bad start at about the worst possible time. He was great in game 2. End of story. He's great sometimes and terrible at others. I'll take it - he's a standup guy, a great teammate, and the upside far outweighs the downside IMHO.

Rob: Jeter? Really? You remind me of the people who booed Mo when he blew two saves against the Red Sox in the first home games of 2005. Just so wrong.

Tex should wait on the changeup. And we should've had Lee out an inning earlier.

Triple Short Of A Cycle,

-Game 4 against the Tigers (I think 3 years ago??). A homer, even though they lost bigtime.
-Game 4, 2001 a homerun against Zito, which spoiled Zito
-Nov 10th, 2000 against the Rangers, had a two-run homer in the eighth tied the game for the Yankees. He also had a lot of RBI's that day.

I tried &
Thats some of what I came up with. But stating that he's not clutch is an 'understatement" In the past his PO numbers weren't the best, but if you would include the actual season I can make a hug list of his clutch hits.

PittsburghYFan: I saw that too, the players in the Phillie dugout were not looking like they were going to win the game. They did luck out though by having Lee pitch tonight.

The Yankees will win in in YS so all fans there can celebrate. For those of us not in the NY area - we can just make a lot of joyous noise. Go Yankees.

Rob, if only I had the power to do so I would BAN you from watching the rest of the series. Jeter not only has the highest batting average during this series, his play has been spectacular.

There were many at bats during this game when anyone could have come up with a key hit. It is not right to call out a player for one AB, one pitch or error. Everyone contributes (or not) to the game.

An attitude like yours is deplorable.

Don't ever, ever bad-mouth Jeter again.

AND to you TEX and CANO haters, may the bed bugs bite you all night.

This game was a free pass. At least it wasn't won or lost with an in game mistake.

The Phillies were extremely lucky to escape tonight. They know it. Did you see the bench towards the end of the game?

We'll know pretty quickly if Andy has it. If not, same game plan as tonight.

Time to stuff it right down Pedro's throat. Who's your daddy?

I think Pedro is going to get slapped around. But I also think so will Andy, it's a coin toss up.
