Idiot Joe West will be behind the plate. He will want to be on stage. I look for him to squeeze both pitchers. Yankees have to lay of Pedro’s change, disrupt his rhythm. Tex has to be patient, Cano has to stop being a rally killer, go to left field. Gardner has to think about bunting his way on & running at every chance. i lived in manahttan beach and hermosa in the late 60’s and went to el camino. lived on the strand . did you see the movie tequila sunrise ? mel gison’s house was where we lived on the strand. the michelle pheiffer hot tub scene used to be where the entrance was to the lower level we ( about ten friends) lived in.

tequila sunrise is one of my favorite movies…basically because it was filmed in the south bay area…i used to live there in the early/mid 90′s so i’m sure things were a bit different back when you were there (but probably not much different)….but its so interesting that you lived in that house….wow small world…..

starbucks would have no chance of getting in here though i wouldn’t mind myself if they did. what this town has is a place that roasts beans fresh daily and sells them daily to all the restaurants so coffee is pretty good here.

even though it was the height of the counter culture , i never missed reading the box scores in the la times or daily breeze.

In 135 career games in RF, Eric Hinske has made a grand total of ONE ERROR.
In 327 career games in RF, Nick Swisher has made a grand total of EIGHT ERRORS.

Based on this, you aren’t losing much defensively in RF starting Hinske over Swisher.

Based on the pitching matchup, Hinske hit Pedro the 3rd best on our squad, to a clip of .267. Hairston hits him best, however with Gardner already in CF…you need more pop.

That pop is Hinske. Will Girardi start him over Swisher tonight, and keep Swisher as a PH to come in against the Philly relief core? Time will tell…

I’ve been seething since the 1st inning of Game 5. I really can’t handle all of this, I’m praying that the Yanks win tonight. I hope Pettitte goes the distance with at least 7 strong inning. On the offensive end, I hope the batters have figured out Pedro. We need to score early, and many many runs!

Don’t let the opponent breathe! You can’t let the Phillies get their swings going. You can’t! This is nerve wracking!

if i had to be stuck on a desert island for 5 years and could only take 1 type of food it would be pizza….

think about it – its good hot or cold – it pretty much can have all of the RDA of food groups (yes even fruit – pineapple chunks) you technuically don’t need any utensil or plate to eat it (its portable!! unlike soup or chinese food)- and its yummy….

AEROFANATIC – Ok i’ll compromise with you – hinske pinch hits for gardner in the 8th inning due to gardner making an amazing catch at the wall but getting hurt – the yankees are up 9-4 at the time and hinske’s HR makes it 10-4 – thus satisfying both our predictions… in other words, unfortunately for you, i don’t think girardi puts hinske in the starting lineup tonight…if swisher sits (which i don’t think he will) i think it’ll be hairston in right…
