Win VIP parade tickets with LoHud!

There figures to be more than 3 million people watching the Yankees come up the Canyon of Heroes tomorrow in downtown Manhattan, which means getting a good view will be tough.

Or maybe not.

In cooperation with our good friends at Pepsi, the LoHud Yankees Blog is pleased to announce that we’ll be giving away two VIP tickets to the Pepsi VIP Parade Viewing Area on Broadway near City Hall for tomorrow’s festivities. With thousands of people jamming the sidewalks everywhere, this will be a great chance for one of you (and a guest) to have a terrific view.

How do you enter? It’s easy. Just send an e-mail to sports@lohud.com with your full name and telephone number (make it a cell phone or one you’ll always answer). Whoever sends in the 27th e-mail – in honor, of course, of the 27th Yankees World Series title – will get the tickets. It’s as simple as that!

A few rules and requests:

• Only ONE E-MAIL PER PERSON. If you’re the winning entry but we look at the first 26 emails and you’ve entered more than once, we’ll go on to the next winner. Everyone should have a chance to win and limiting it to one e-mail per person is the fairest way. Comments here don’t count – it’s got to be an e-mail to sports@lohud.com.

• Please only enter if you’re going to be able to go. The winner will be put in touch with a Pepsi representative to arrange a meet-up near the VIP area around 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (the parade begins at 11), so, if you’re entering, you should be sure that you’ll be able to arrive at that time and have proper ID to show the Pepsi rep before receiving the tickets.

Good luck!

Ok, last night FOX showed each player’s reaction after the final out was made and it was the sickest minute ever. I really want to see it again, is there any way for me to find it online? Has anyone seen this and know what I’m talking about? Your help would be appreciated, thanks.

  5. CMC

Try Mudville 9 on Chambers Street. Boomer & Carton will be doing their show from there. It’s at the corner of Chambers & W. Broadway. Hope that helps.

  6. JZ

Avi, I HAPPENED to DVR the final inning and all the postgame stuff….:D

  7. Chris NY

Avi, I know what you mean, that was awesome. not sure about finding it online. You probably have to look through a bunch of highlights on Fox website and see if you can find it. Or google it a bunch of different ways…

  8. Lori

Avi – look at the yesnetwork.com
I think it is the Mo Closes Out clip. It’s great.

I realize that Erica, I was trying to play along with the joke but you just blew up my spot.

So let me guess, if the Yanks re-sign JD you will buy season tickets in the front row of the left field seats? I’d be dissapointed in anything less from you

  15. saucY

my unreliable friends told me they want to go to the parade. then i requested off from work. was granted off from work. then found out my friends can’t make it now :|

What a great interview Mike is having with Girardi……LOL at his aunt celebrating each win with a Grey Goose vodka.….I just feel all warm and fuzzy about how this unselfish this team was. It sounds almost Pollyanna-ish, but these Yankees are really the epitome of the word “team”. There’s something so special about accomplishing a goal together as a team, despite the acclaim that comes from individual accomplishments. Boy, this WS has me overflowing with purple prose.

  17. matt

    Anyone win?

    I can’t wait for parade.

  18. jennifer

i am probably too late already, just saw this. :-(

  19. saucY

i haven’t posted in a while, but just want to say Cheers and congrats to everyone! :)

Country Club, thanks! I thought maybe it was some gossip site about celebrities as I didn’t see anything on the Yankees.

Doreen, I suppose I came off as more negative than I’d have liked. My point was, our position players are really in the lower levels, so we’re going to have to be patient. Who can we expect to see in the next couple of years? Champ, thanks for the info.

Murphy, your dog died? I’m so sorry….

  21. betsy

Well, I’ll have to tape the parade on YES and MLB (always like to get different perspectives)…….then, I’ll listen to it on WFAN tomorrow. I can’t wait to buy the WS Highlights DVD and a bunch of Yankees stuff at Modells (if they have anything left by the time Saturday rolls around, lol).

  22. jennifer

    anyone win?

  23. omg dude

God, I haven’t felt this happy for a team in a long time.

  24. omg dude

When will the winners be announced by the way?

  25. Alfred

Hehe, I suppose an intercontinental flight ain’t included :P

On a more serious note: As a diehard Yankees fan in the Netherlands I really enjoy the job guys are doing on this blog. It’s one of the few places that really takes you inside the clubhouse and combines that with a good, down-to-earth baseball analysis.

So Sam, Chad, Josh and ofcourse Pete before you took over: thanks a bunch!
