Congrat to the NY Yankees and Mariano Rivera, the 2009 WS Champs. Mariano, you deserve the best and hope to see you again, in the Bronx, for few more years. The Yankees needs you. Arriba Mariano Rivera, the Panamanian Sensational.

Doreen,

Thanks for the conformation, I have client meeting scheduled from early am to late afternoon so I can only hope to catch a replay. At least I was able to watch and enjoy all the games.

here are some final Truths about the 2009 New York Yankees:

1. They are the best team in baseball and completely earned this World Series victory.
2. Each and every player contributed to this whether they had a great WS or not. Without each of them, they most likely would not have won. Baseball is a team sport and that was proven once again in 2009.
3. This could very easily be the start of another dynasty as the Yankees have finally restocked the minors and the young players coming up, like the ones already with the team, have the honor and privilege to play alongside some of the great winners in modern baseball.
4. This talk about the Yankees 'buying' a championship is a bunch of crap-the Phillies had two pitchers, Lee and Pedro, who weren't with the team until the end of July and made 4 of the 6 starts in the World Series. The Yankees have 15 players on the current roster who came up through the system, a huge difference.

And, finally, to those of you who can't watch a baseball game without complaining, you'll live a lot longer (and be much happier) if you somehow manage to lighten up a little. Baseball is a game built on percentages and the difference between winning and losing isn't all that much. No team in baseball history, even the 1927 or 1998 Yankees, didn't have bumps in the road on the way to a World Series victory. If you learn something about these bumps and how great teams handle them and rebound it would greatly enhance your understanding and enjoyment in 2010.
