What do you guys think about not signing a big free agent outfielder and using the money for John Lackey? The Yankees needed another veteran and a rotation of CC, Burnett, Andy , Lackey and either Joba or Hughes would be unstoppable.

i like cano as a player and wouldn’t like seeing him traded.
this is the same thing i thought last year.

ideally, the yankees need a #2 starter before the playoffs come around next year. i don’t want to go into another postseason with aj as the #2.

the yankees got away with it this year, but a solid #2 who didn’t have the lows that aj does when he’s off would increase the likelihood of the yankees winning postseason series.

lee made his switch at the reading deadline so the yankees have time, but getting a solid #2 at some point is i think the yankees biggest need for 2010.

Last year should prove that you just really don’t know what’s going on with Cash – a lot of it is the fine art of misdirection.
