Since MMA came along, watching a boxing match to me is kinda like watching Tiger Woods play a round of golf with only his 7 iron. He has so many weapons to use but he is only using one.

Pacquiao is unbelievable and a lot of fun to watch but when I watch him I know that BJ Penn would have him twisted into a pretzel in about 2 minutes in an MMA fight and that diminishes it a bit for me.

Torre is this baseball generation’s Casey Stengel that had a spotty managerial career prior to coming to the Yankees, but became a winner once he had great players. There isn’t any manager that won consistently without such players. Sure, some have made a run for a pennant with a so so team, but nobody made a managerial career of doing such a thing. The closest I can remember a manager of doing so is Billy Martin, but he would eventually kill his team or his players wanted to kill him, but he’s still not in the HOF because of his other demons that shorted out his career and led to him to be fired as various team’s managers.
