Manny likely will start out in Tampa and wind up in Trenton, much to my delight.

Brackman reportedly was more consistent with his delivery and command once they dropped the change from his repertoire and put him in the bullpen.

He also experienced the usual velo spike out there.

If he can stay healthy and on course, Brack will get his ML introduction as one of our righties out of the bullpen, joining D-Rob and Melancon, towards the end of 2010. No need for Joba/Hughes to be disrupted. I can see Melancon as handling 2-plus innings out of there, and the others shorter relief.

If Garcia could ever, ever, ever stay healthy, he'd be insane as Mo's setup man to get his feet wet in the majors.

Who was the last Boras client the Yankees wanted and didn't get?

Cashman knows how the Boras game works and plays it with him while other teams try to play against Scott.

If I'm DET, unless I'm desperate to unload salary, I don't trade Granderson for IPK and AJAX.

bru,, agreed, that deal is a no-brainer. In fact,, AJAX and IPK would be about the max I would go for Granderson, unless your talking a low ceiling prospect or someone like Phil Coke in addition.

Jeter in a trench coat and a silly looking wig is still DJ. Sort of like dressing Marilyn Monroe up as a bag lady but you know you can't get that picture out of your head of her standing on a grate with her dress being blown about.

Bad casting.

Now DJ in a buddy flick as a wingman for Brad Pitt has possibilities. Naturally, the smooth fielding Jetes steals the girl from Brad who just happens to be Angelina Jolie and they have many hot scenes together!

Eye candy for the ladies and the guys in roles that are believable.

The Yankees are fine without Granderson, so you don't overpay for him. You get him if there's a fair price that includes Melky and a couple higher end pitching prospects, but you do not give up Jackson and Hughes or Jackson and Joba for him. That's ridiculous.

The Yankees are not going to act desperate and fight teams in trade wars. Last year, Cashman picked up a very solid right fielder for almost nothing. He'll do something similar this year if we don't resign Damon. If we don't resign Matsui, he'll find a DH the same way.

Let's not act like Granderson is a must-get.

The Red Sox are in that situation. They *must* get a SP, a LF, and a 3B if they trade Lowell (they really need to act on Figgins)
