Orcas are indeed Dolphins.

But, while the common perception is that dolphins are sweet cuddly animals, in reality dolphins are incredibly aggressive by nature.

not sure how many are watching the clips on MLB-TV with Harold Reynolds explainations of Jeter's improved defense. He mentions that defense depends on the pitchers on the team and knowing their tendancies and how many times a guy like Pettitte hits his spots. worth a watch.

GB, I'm sure that's true that they rarely attack humans, but these types of stories always get the press. More people die of bee stings than shark attacks, but no one ever reads about the former, while you can bet they will read about the latter.

Wow – what a tragedy. Orcas are real killers in the wild, but they are highly intelligent and very social. Remember Siegried and Roy? I forget which one, but one of them was attacked by his favorite tiger. Siegried and Roy believe that the tiger was just protecting him from what he thought was a threat. That’s the danger of working with wild animals. I’m sure this orca loved the trainer, but we can never know what was going on in his mind. Animals have instincts that don’t go away just because they’re trained in captifity. How horrifying.

------------------------------------------------------------

They do not normally attack people and they aren't whales. they are dolphins. They will usually eat fish, birds, sea gulls, sharks, differnt types of whales, penguins and maybe seal pups. Human attacks are rare, usually because of stress.

GB7: We HAVE to beat the Russians tonight. If we can't do that then we don't deserve to be there. Miller is the best goaltender in the NHL this year and he could well carry the US to gold. we'll wait and see.

The Czechs just about lost to Latvia last night.

Upstate Kate what time do want me to pick you up tomorrow?
