Still waiting for a lineup
For whatever reason, the Yankees have not posted a lineup for tonight’s game. It’s usually posted six hours before a night game in spring training. Today, it’s still not up three and a half hours before first pitch.
Some are wondering — and this is 100 percent speculation — whether the Yankees might be waiting for Alex Rodriguez to get back from his meeting with federal investigators. They might have one lineup ready if he’s going to make it back, another ready if he’s not.
Again, this is strictly speculation. Brian Cashman said this afternoon that he wouldn’t not comment on where Rodriguez is or where he’ll be tonight.
UPDATE, 3:37 p.m.: Yep. Now comes word that Rodriguez is back in Tampa. Not sure that’s why the lineup is delayed, but it would make sense.

Apropos of nothing, I was looking at the Yanks’ schedule and the first third of the season has some pretty tough patches.
Open in Boston, go to Tampa, host the Angels and Texas, then a West Coast road swing to Oakland and then Anaheim again, all by April 25th. Then another bad patch in May going to Boston, then Detroit, coming home to play Minnesota, Boston and Tampa, then the Mets at Shea, then on the road to Minnesota.
If we get through May in good shape we will be in the catbird’s seat for the rest of the season, though.
Word is A-Rod has been locked up behind bars!
OH NOEEEZZZ!!!
Haha.
Prediction: A-Rod will appear right before game time then proceed to hit a HR
Short of a ton of injuries (ie 2008) i think the yanks will win the east by at least 6 games. Boston has a lot of new players but didn’t get much better (only lackey and maybe beltre). But i think they were better on offense with Lowell than Beltre. And dice-k starts on the DL).

According to Sherman, he’s already in the building.
Will the 3rd graders complain tonight if we lose the game?

YankeesWFAN ARod is in uniform stretching with rest of team. Apparently he’s not in Buffalo anymore. about 1 minute ago
“well at least he’s not in jail…”
not yet, anyway
Chad, again can you please report PHIL HUGHES RADER GUN READINGS… What he sitting on, what hes topping out on…
Thanks in advance
Alex never said he was going to miss todays game. Part of the charm on not commenting on anything is never being wrong.
All this talk about signing cliff lee next year and now he is hurt.
repost
I once got hit in the neck paint balling and it immediately turned into a hickey. Try explaining a guys day out to paint ball turns into coming home with a blood clot on the neck. Not an easy task. Lots of if you loved me you would…
“Will the 3rd graders complain tonight if we lose the game?”
No need to slander 3rd Graders like that..
How can McNabb be your favorite player unless you are an Eagles fan?
If you’re an Eagles fan, that’s great, I would wish all the best to the Eagles with Vick as their Starting QB.
It’s my right to question the classless behavior of a player.
And, if I’m not mistaken, an actual Eagles fan (Ben) agreed with me.

CR9,
I’m a big Syracuse fan. When McNabb was drafted by Philly I became an Eagles fan. So guess what, an actual Eagles fan is now disagreeing with you.
You want the Eagles to make Vick the QB? And you’d be fine with that? You are either completely clueless or just simply trolling at this point. How in the hell is Vick a better guy that McNabb? Are you out of your damn mind?
Sure it’s your right to question an individual. It’s my right to call you a dope for doing so wrongfully. McNabb is a stand up guy, a great player and a classy person.
Chad, did you ever see the spelling that goes on here? I made a joke but I was just trying to be funny. It certainly wasn’t meant to be serious. I think many if not most of us feel we died and went to heaven when you guys took over. I definitely do not bite the hand that feeds me.

New Post: Rodriguez is in the lineup

If Chad goes roman numerals tonight for the score, its likely they wont even know what hit em. If that fails. Theres always the Lohud stand in a corner with a dunce cap timeout option.
