Well, the pitchers other than Nova isn’t impressive, but I like the futures position player roster.

Nice article, but Sherman is making WAY too much about Nick’s injury; he’ll be fine

I’m glad Romine is on the team as I like to see him behind the plate; the other player I’m most interested in seeing is Heathcott. Then again, it’s too nice in NY – I’m not going to stay home just to watch this game

Anybody that saw that foul ball would know that most players would sit out the next couple of days and it has nothing to do with Nick’s injury history especially with these games being spring training and all.

I just got in and didnt see the other threads comments, but wasnt the reason Moeller left the Orioles was because he wouldnt accept going to the minors? But now he signed with the yanks to go to the minors as a backup?….. wierd

Craw, of course, but because it’s NJ, a federal case is being made out of it. He’s not injured, just bruised. When I think of injured, I think of someone on the DL

I think the Yankee Brass likes Moeller alot. He might have a future with the organization after his playing days.

I like Romine, Nova, Montero, Murphy, Heaathcott and Melacon in this game…

anybody know what time it begins!?

of all the minor leaguers in camp this spring, I have been most impressed w/Kevin Russo.

beautiful “short and quick” swing — we’ll be seeing him somewhere down the line, imho.

Lot to like about Russo’s bat. His problem is that to be a Yankee, he’s probably going to have to learn to play the outfield. He has no future with the big club as an infielder. Hope he sees a lot of time in the SWB outfield this year.

    Betsy,

I know…Too many good arm in the pen.And Logan has options while Mitre doesn’t.So I understand this move but I think Aceves and Park can eat innings (and with marte struggeling) I would have wanted them to pick a second lefty against that Boston lineup.
But I know this is the smart move in the long run

  12. Frank April 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 pm

Adam Lind – 4 years and $18M plus 3 team option years?

Nice score for Alex the Greek.

  13. Trevor April 3rd, 2010 at 12:50 pm

I want to see Slade Heathcott.

Does anyone have an educated guess as to how much a player like Moeller would make this year at Scranton.

I agree, he’s the type of guy that Cashman likes. Too bad he can’t hit well enough to play for the big team. His got a great make up.

  17. Trevor April 3rd, 2010 at 1:11 pm

    Montero!

  18. Greg April 3rd, 2010 at 1:19 pm

Can’t wait to see Pat Venditte throw with both arms!!

i gotta say I was impressed on the patience knowledge of the strike zone the minor leaguers showed in that 1st inning. Much better than I expected. Also Im really liking what Heathcott may turn into just going from what Ive read on him, and the couple things hes just done in the game. He may even be better than gardner already!

    *patience AND knowledge
