Mets sweep all 3. BOOK IT!!

  2. Chip June 18th, 2010 at 11:03 am

I will be very disappointed if the Yankees don’t light up Takahashi tonight. It’s the second time they’ll be seeing him this month and it isn’t as if he’s got dominant stuff. But then again, neither did Moyer.

Now it’s 8-4 Slovenia. Bottom of the 5th, 1 out.

lol ! If it’s not stinky stinky trolls or imposters, it’s the same guy weakly attempting to insult SJ44. The guy does know people in baseball. If that makes you jealous, grow up and get over it !

SCORE FOR THE US ! Right back in it !!

Phitins, the Phils are a good team ! So are the Yankees ! I hope you troll on Red Sox sites ! Fair is fair !

  8. pat June 18th, 2010 at 11:08 am

    Phil Columbus

Players think all Yankees are over-rated. They get tired of hearing about them and confuse over-publicized with over-rated.

  9. m June 18th, 2010 at 11:08 am

OMG! What a score by Donovan!

    Phil,

The problem with alby is that he’s been mediocre in the bigs.

    BF,

I don’t think they trade joba. But he’s certainly not as popular as he used to be. :(

Banned myself from the site for causing trouble on here a week ago. Tried to piss off someone, and it created problems for many people. Thought it would be good luck for the Lakers to accept responsibility for my stupid actions and self-impose a punishment.

CR9 stick to grossing people out on the blog with your sexy man talk and all things boston/umpire hate- you’re better at that.

Speaking of sexy man talk, which team has the hottest group of soccer players in your opinion.

I’ll say Paraguay and Italy with Mexico and France having the ugliest.

You have to admit that the hype for Joba has been huge and he hasn’t lived up to it. There are alot of 24ish pitchers that throw 94-96 mph. Joba isn’t anything special anymore. The Yanks need someone they can count on in the set up roll. It is a roll of the dice. Good Joba or bad Joba.

  20. BFKAD June 18th, 2010 at 11:17 am

When is it time to create a package involving one of the many catchers?

    Joba + Romine for Thorton + ?

  21. m June 18th, 2010 at 11:19 am

Wait, wrong #. Talking about the crispin lookalike.

  22. The Philly Phitins June 18th, 2010 at 11:19 am

Oh oh , accuscore had the Yankees losing Tues, but winning Wed and Thurs, they were wrong. Today Fr, i they say Yankees win, oh well another loss!

Yankees you better hope Boston, and TB lose this weekend to save face from being passed by Boston. Boston knows they are better than you and are gunning for you.

  23. Tiffy June 18th, 2010 at 11:19 am

Girardi has to take some of the blame for using the “Wheel” play last night. Joba is being mistakenly crucified imo.

  28. CR9 'We Stomped You Out' June 18th, 2010 at 11:22 am

  29. yankswin27 June 18th, 2010 at 11:23 am

A-Rod back @ third tonight is my guess, here’s the lineup:

    Jeter 6
    Swisher 9
    Teixeira 3
    Rodriguez 5
    Cano 4
    Posada 0
    Granderson 8
    Cervelli 2
    Gardner 7

    Vazquez 1

  30. look i changed my name again June 18th, 2010 at 11:25 am

  32. CR9 'We Stomped You Out' June 18th, 2010 at 11:26 am

Roque used to be on Blackburn in the Premier League, now on Man City. Deeeeee-licious !

  33. Bronx Jeers June 18th, 2010 at 11:28 am

    m,

I think we’re talking about the same guy. The guy with the sort of Hit-ler hairdo.

Crispin Glover played Michael J Fox’s dad in “Back to the Future”. He was also famous for appearing on David Letterman in a somewhat altered state and for trying to kick Dave in the head.

  34. Bernie June 18th, 2010 at 11:31 am

This blog is so much better without CR9 around and his inane ramblings about hot men.

Go punish Boston some more and leave

  35. Ron June 18th, 2010 at 11:32 am

At least we’re not seeing RA Dickey. our lineup can’t hit pitches thrown to them under 85 mph.

  36. Warning Track Power June 18th, 2010 at 11:33 am

Very odd that these 3 games will feature the same pitching match-ups as the previous series.

Anyway, time for Javy to set the tone by getting the win tonight.
Yankees need to end the mini 2 game losing streak tonight.

  37. m June 18th, 2010 at 11:33 am

    Bronx,

Yeah. That’s the guy. I don’t like futbol, but rooting for the yanks here. Love the Charlie Brown jerseys for the Slovenians. And the officiating was bad, but getting better.

“A-Rod back @ third tonight is my guess”

I wonder if Girardi will DH A-Rod tonight since Posada should be available to catch, then with a day game tomorrow A-Rod should able to take the field while Posada DH’s. Whatever Girardi decides, I just hope the lineup doesn’t include Pena and his 21 OPS+.

    ODE TO YANKEES FANS

All at once , the Yankees took a moment and finally realized they’re not coming back.
All at once,Yankees started counting teardrops and at least a million fell, their eyes began to swell, and all their dreams were shattered all at once.
All at once, CC and AJ implode on any given day, the pen has seen better days.
All at once Arod , Tex, Jeter have seen better days and still get their pay.
All at once the team stop hitting, and lost 1st place to Boston, All at once.

All at once Mlb laughs at the has been Yankees, under performing, ego based team!!

  50. look i changed my name again June 18th, 2010 at 11:41 am

slovenia plays defense like robinson cano circa 2008 – lazy, slow and uninterested.

  51. Trevor June 18th, 2010 at 11:43 am

This ref is anti American. He sucks as much as the umps.

  52. m June 18th, 2010 at 11:43 am

LOL. No wonder I was confused they kept calling Bradley’s name. I thought that was the coache’s name. It’s both.

I was just going to say the players might just have to tip their sweaty jerseys to the Slovenian goaltender. This ref.

  53. Roger(The Dutch Yankees Fan) June 18th, 2010 at 11:43 am

    That wasn’t offside!

  54. pat June 18th, 2010 at 11:43 am

I’m not much into hype. I prefer track record and a long one not a short one. I found Joba-mania ridiculous and find Strasburg-mania equally as ridiculous.

If eight inning guys were consistent, they would be closers.

  55. CR9 'We Stomped You Out' June 18th, 2010 at 11:44 am

Wow. I cant believe he took that goal away. Shame.

  56. LGY June 18th, 2010 at 11:44 am

    Tiffany
Joba drove a stake in the heart of his team, last night thwarting any hopes of a come back, wake up girl!

The Phitins can’t thank him enough.

  61. Bronx Jeers June 18th, 2010 at 11:47 am

Howard is like Lackey always screaming at his defense although I can’t say I blame him.

  62. LGY June 18th, 2010 at 11:48 am

Slovenia has gotten away with so much crap inside the box today.

And the ref takes that goal away from the USA.

    Brutal, brutal job.

  63. CR9 'We Stomped You Out' June 18th, 2010 at 11:49 am

I hope they get rid of this ref for the knockout rounds. Luckily, his terrible refereeing is only happening between 2 teams that cant win the World Cup. Hope it doesnt happen to teams that can win it.

Yeah Doreen! Just because Phitins’ team has the highest run differential and best record in baseball, and is coming off its 27 world championship doesn’t mean you should hate on him. Now if his team had lost 6 out of 10 games, scored the fewest runs in its division, and had the 16th best winning percentage in baseball, THEN you would have grounds to downplay ‘this big win’ in a June interleague series.

This is especially comical since if the season ended today, the Phillies wouldn’t even be in the playoffs. But the Yankees would.

You are in 3rd place with 3.5 out in your division
And 3 games out of the Wild Card with not one, not two, not three, but FIVE teams ahead of you

Stop being arrogant and realize things change in baseball very fast. One series in the regular season really means nothing, and you continue to show that you lack baseball knowledge.

Phillies like every other second rate team need to play well when they play the Yankees because it is and has been the biggest series for them in the 2010 season.

Not so for the Yankees kind of a oh umm, another challenger trying to make a point.

I’ve been to Philly (wife grew up there, and we visit from time to time), and tried their cheesesteak sandwiches. Very overrated. Low quality meat and cheep cheese whiz, fried to Philadelphia’s version of perfection. If I’m going to put my coronaries at risk, it will be with better quality food than that.

  123. CR9 'We Stomped You Out' June 18th, 2010 at 12:23 pm

It’s a little harsh to say the USA got jobbed because of lack of funding to the ref’s homeland. Almost sounds like a conspiracy. Referees are human. They make mistakes. It was the guy’s first World Cup match. Maybe he let his emotions get the best of him. :)

  130. The Philly Phitins June 18th, 2010 at 12:26 pm

Yankees first half was rank last year too and you were behind more than 3.5 games, do you think you’re the only team that can do that. you’re not all that!

All it takes is a few good series wins, but you know that right, look at Boston. They will pass you after 8 games back, now only 2, keep looking back at last year, while sinking. No Coke, Damon, Matsui, or Melky.

You aren’t even last years team, how dare you! Phrauds!

The only thing that’s the same as last year is Mark, he did nothing the last 1/4 of the season, and has continued where he left off doing nothing.

When you talk to teams prior to the draft, they always ask for the number it will take to sign you.

It’s why you see some guys drop in the draft.

Some teams feel their asking number is too high.

I’m sure Culver’s people made it clear he’s willing to sign for slot if it’s at a certain level.

This was never going to be a “negotiation”, per se.
